[player_tooltip player_id="218149" first="Katie" last="Vasecka"] - 6’2 G 2024 - Tea Area - Minnesota Fury - Katie headlines the 2024 class that participated, and is the best 2024 prospect in both North Dakota and South Dakota. She looked very tall and long, handling the ball from the point position. Listed herself at 6’2 and she looked every bit of it. She was aggressive but smartly picked her spots on when to attack or shoot it from deep. Her first-step quickness and explosiveness is what caught my eye the most.
[player_tooltip player_id="240173" first="Ashton" last="Safranski"] - 5’5 PG 2024 - Fargo Davies - Minnesota Stars - After re-watching the event online, Ashton was more aggressive from three than I originally thought. She shot from three extended on a few occasions. She made a ton of plays defensively -- with tipped passes, digs, and anticipatory steals.
[player_tooltip player_id="201446" first="Caylin" last="Kelly"] - 5’11 F 2024 - Florence-Henry - Pentagon Schoolers - Caylin was a major stock-riser coming out of the event. She’s a prospect that comes from a small school that I will be paying much closer attention to the upcoming season. She was highly assertive with the ball, looking to score and dominate.
[player_tooltip player_id="213399" first="Brylie" last="Peterson"] - 5’6 G 2024 - West Fargo - Eastern Dakota Elite -Brylie was sneakily effective at the event. She’s not imposing physically but she was crafty and effective in the lane and in transition.
[player_tooltip player_id="242473" first="Mara" last="Grant"] - 5’10 F 2024 - Tea Area - Mara was very solid and capitalized on most of her scoring opportunities. Seemed like she shot a high percentage and was a good finisher. Rebounded well and was battling against size.
[player_tooltip player_id="342168" first="Lauren" last="Grinde"] - 5’6 G 2024 - Tri-Valley - Lauren was a new prospect to me and she was a pleasant surprise. She came to play with an effort mentality. She looked quick and was able to make an impact.
[player_tooltip player_id="218144" first="Karley" last="Franks"] - 5’7 G 2024 - Fargo Davies - Minnesota Stars - Karley didn’t force any action and was selective for higher percentage shots. She’s a great shooter with a perfect release.
[player_tooltip player_id="201463" first="Jaxsyn" last="Swift"] - 5’10 G 2024 - Sioux Falls Christian - Airborne AAU - Jaxsyn has a long and lanky profile as a guard. She’s skilled with the ball and is a knockdown three-point shooter. A prospect to follow.
[player_tooltip player_id="218151" first="Hannah" last="Leverson"] - 5’3 G 2024 - Sisseton - Hannah was impressive and was a 2024 prospect that caught my eye. She had a swag about her game and a smooth release three-ball. She could pull from three off the dribble and a step-back variety.
[player_tooltip player_id="188311" first="Sydney" last="Olson"] - 5’7 G/F 2024 - Garretson - SD Network - Sydney is a strong and physical guard. She made a lot of good things happen when she drove to the hoop. She was a solid finisher in the paint and worked hard for the ball. Defensively, she’s strong and holds her ground.
[player_tooltip player_id="182473" first="Taylor" last="Watson"] - 5’9 G 2024 - Florence-Henry - Pentagon Schoolers - Taylor is sound offensively but her defensive awareness and positioning is profound. Understands how to move and react to the pass.
[player_tooltip player_id="219714" first="Avery" last="Lunde"] - 5’7 G 2024 - Minot - ND Attack - Avery can score and make plays in the open areas -- both defensively and offensively. An absolute threat from three and can fill it up with her pull-up game.
