Middle Schoolers Making an Impact – Part 1

She is going to be a big-time player and prospect. She is coming off of the bench at Rugby but is playing significant minutes as a seventh grader. She is incredibly long and lanky. She runs the floor really well for someone her size. She is still growing, so look out in the future. She is already a very good defender and rebounder with a soft touch around the rim. It is hard to believe she is only in seventh grade. She is currently the second leading scorer on a talented Shanley team at 17.1 points per game. This is also good for 5th best in the EDC. She is averaging 4.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. She is a very efficient shooter for her age, shooting 40.5% from the field and 33.7% from three. Her passing ability is an underappreciated part of her game. She has excellent vision and finds the open girl. She should be a lock for an All-Region selection this season in a very talented Region 1. She has been lighting up the box scores. Nearly every box score I see shows Piper scoring in double-figures. She is a true three-level scorer. She gets to the basket with a quick first step, can hit the mid-range jumper, and can stretch the floor from deep. She keeps getting better at playing with pace and confidence. She is currently coming off of the bench but will likely be a four-year starter for Sheyenne in the future. She came into her first varsity action and hit two 3's and an 'and-one' layup. She isn't scared of the older girls and is a great competitor. She will be an elite skilled athlete and has a bright future as a Mustang.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1571908"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-694add474308c"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">AryAnna has found herself thrust into the starting lineup on a very talented Langdon team.  She is one of the primary handlers on the team and is able to ease the ball-handling load from teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1124637' first='Hilary' last='Haaven'].  She is a outstanding on-ball defender and does a great job of picking up opponents full-court.  She is always in a great defensive stance.  Schaefer has great quickness and speed and isn't afraid to step out and take the deep three.  She is a promising young talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
