Dayton Shootout Key Underclassmen- Afternoon Session
Morgyn Rose Morgyn Rose 5'8" | SG Wayne | 2024 State OH , 5-7 2024, Wayne
Her game is definitely hard-nosed and physical. She attacks the basket with authority and she is not afraid of contact around the rim. She can control her body for crafty finishes against the defense. When you need a basket or big defensive stop, this kid will find a way to fight and get you one. (feature photo above)
Taylor Scohy, 5-9 2024, Bellbrook
Scohy is never going to take a play off for you on the defensive end. You can tell she is going to fight for her team on that end of the floor. She has great size and length that helps her attack the basket and make tough finishes around the rim. Her improvement has shown and she will be a big contributor to her team this season.
Alexis Robinson, 5-8 2024, Bellefontaine
Strong physical guard who can guard inside or outside. Able to get to the rim and score through contact. Good sense of the game, able to run the floor in transition and show good handles. On the defensive end, she is aggressive on ball with good hands. Does a good job on the boards.
Makenna Payne, 5-3 2024, Middletown Madison
Makenna is going to fight when she is on the floor. Defensively, she is scrappy and get her hands on a lot of balls. She is going to give any offense a hard time when she is on the court. When she sees an open lane, she is going to attack. Her ability to be physical and handle contact is a great skill to have for a guard her size.
Jaela Johnson, 5-5 2025, Springfield
Johnson wants the ball in her hands. She is a good floor leader and pushes the ball well in transition. Her court vision and ability to find her teammates helps keep the offense flowing. You can tell she has passion on the floor, and she will only continue improving in the next few years.
Ava Wade Ava Wade 5'11" | CG Springboro | 2025 OH , 5-10 2025, Springboro
Ava has great length and size to her. This helps her get her shot off on the perimeter, and her form looks quick and smooth. She is not afraid to take you off the dribble and attack the rim for hard finishes. She is not an easy one to guard and will leave you guessing offensively. You can tell this kid has a lot more she wants to add to her game.
Evan Platfoot Evan Platfoot 5'8" | SF Jonathan Alder | 2024 State OH , 5-7 2024, Jonathan Alder
Evan (pictured right) is a guard that can give you a bucket from every spot on the floor. She has a nice shot and she is not afraid to be physical in the paint. Her spacing and understanding of other players allows her to make things happen when she doesn’t have the ball in her hands. She has continued to improve on her game.
Ava Williams, 5-5 2024, Fairborn
Fiery guard with good instincts for the ball. Really love the way she plays with intensity and ball skills that are getting better every time I see her. She is continuing to gain confidence with her perimeter game, along with her nice first step to the rim and scoring at in the paint. Good court vision with a solid basketball IQ.
Jenna Brumbaugh Jenna Brumbaugh 5'6" | PG Milton Union | 2025 State OH , 5-6 2025, Milton Union
Athletic guard with a lot of upside in the game. Has good hands and heading into her freshman season as a good prospect. Moves around pretty well and is able to run in transition in the flow of their offense. As she continues to learn the game, she will keep getting better.
