Over the next couple of days, I will be taking a look at some of the top players who participated in Session 2 of the Dayton Shootout. Last week we looked at the kids in Session 1, and the afternoon was a smaller session with a lot of talent. Angie Saiter is also going to be writing about some of the afternoon kids as she was viewing this talent also.

Morgan Dixon, 5-6 2022, Hamilton Badin
Dixon is a tough guard that has the ability to push it in transition or spot up on the wing for her shot. This is not a kid I would leave open. She can get hot and really stroke it from the outside. Her form and quick release will really help her succeed to be deadly shooter at the next level.
Ashley Frantz, 5-11 2023, Bellbrook
Frantz (pictured right from earlier this summer) can be extremely adaptable when she is on the court. She will fight on the inside for you, but also can take her shot behind the arc. Defensively, she does not seem to have a problem matching up anywhere on the court. She will work hard on defense and crash the boards. She is continually improving and there is no doubt she will keep adding to her game.
Katie Ratliff, 6-0 2023, Canal Winchester
Ratliff is a match-up nightmare. She has the basketball height and length every basketball player dreams of. She is quick on her feet and can attack you off the dribble. She will let it fly from behind the arc or head down to the block for a mismatch in the post. Her physicality and basketball IQ is top notch. She will be a great addition to the next level when it’s her time.
[player_tooltip player_id="216104" first="Karley" last="Moore"], 5-10 2023, Tipp City Bethel
This kid gotten better every time she steps on the floor. She will mismatch you in the post, extend you out to the perimeter, or give you the mid-range game. Her confidence is what she is doing out there is noticeable and the hard work and preparation for her junior season is paying off. She has added so many skills to her game and it has really been fun to watch her develop and get ready for the next level. (pictured left)
[player_tooltip player_id="269824" first="Mae" last="Mastin"], 5-3 2022, Tecumseh
You can feel this kid’s intensity and passion all over the floor. If you want a point guard that will give her all every play, she is it. She is quick on her feet and aggressive on the offensive and defensive end. It does not matter if who is guarding her, she is going to leave it all on the floor. She will pull the trigger in your face and blow by you on the attack. You want this kid on your side! (feature photo above)
