With the official first practice starting this Friday, this will be the first talk of top division 3 teams. five teams are among the best. Much more coverage heading into the high school season begins November 1 as the PGH staff begins looking at various conferences around Ohio and the breakdown of many of the conferences. Warrensville Heights Head coach Ourtney has made a lot of history at Warrensville and has turned a program all around. In the last two years, coach O has gotten a group of young ladies to believe in one another and get it done. He doesn’t focus on what everyone else is doing. He locks in on what is going on in his program and that is the root of success. [player_tooltip player_id="162143" first="Jada" last="Ward"] who has been making noise her whole high school career will be the floor general. She is a player that is great to watch. This young lady is fearless and will go at anyone on any given day. Warrensville will look to her to lead them her senior year. Other Notable Players: [player_tooltip player_id="312660" first="Zennia" last="Thomas"] class of 2022 Elyria Catholic head coach Eric Rothgery has had his fair share of success since becoming the leader of the program. A goal-oriented program that plays together and is fundamentally sound. This team does the little things correctly that is the main reason they tend to be successful. Unselfish players compete daily. Annika Bredel class of 2022. Bredel looks to lead Elyria Catholic as they have lost a few key pieces, but she knows what it takes to compete. She has a superior work ethic and a purpose larger than herself. Other Notable Players: Lexie Pluta Emily Vogel Natalie Palease Trinity High School head coach Kevin McNamara has done a great job with his program. Nothing to do with wins or losses as to why the last two years didn’t end well for the program. Coach Mac as they call him has had a lot of success and with a talented team returning they will be a top team in their division this year for sure. [player_tooltip player_id="157687" first="Mahogany" last="Cottingham"], a 2023 player has all the tools to lead her team. She can shoot the basketball and blow by her defenders is a normal thing. Defensively, she can change a game. This team will have a chance to prove themselves this year. Other Notable Players: Rani Thigpen class of 2022 Independence high school Head coach Mike Marcinko has a train station with the blue devils. Year after year the blue devils have a lot of success with the system that they run. Anna Weber is in her senior year and she is coming off a very impressive junior campaign. She is a player that plays the game the right way and can score when she wants. This team will be led by Weber in her final campaign and they will have success. Other Notable Players: Madison Stepanik class of 2023 Kirtland High School Head coach Brittany Zele puts her team up against bigger opponents all year long putting her players on a competitive platform. A team mentality approach is how the hornets play and they are a family. Macy Mcintosh class of 2022 leads the hornets. She is a player that is very competitive and does a good job on both ends of the floor. A player that is unselfish and sets the tone. Other Notable Players: Corinne Greenlee Reilly Greenlee Ammalie Gettig
