Continue ReadingWith the Official first practice already underway last Friday, this will be the first talk of the top 4 teams in division 4 in the Northeast, OH area. Much more coverage heading into the high school season begins November 1 as the PGH staff begins looking at various conferences around Ohio and the breakdown of many of the conferences.
Fairport Harding High School
Head coach Ed Reed has a group of girls that are relentless. The Skippers are a program that works hard and plays together to the best of their strengths. Kara Mc Fadden is a lights-out shooter from any place on the floor. She is Skipper’s top scorer, but scoring is only a bit of what she does outside of her vision on the floor as well as communication with teammates.
Cuyahoga Heights High School
Head coach Al Martin has a competitive program. A team that plays together and does a good job at staying together in key moments. They are a team that has grit and will look to have success by making it no secret of playing team basketball. Leading the way and I wish it was a real “Conroy Show” Tess is one of the better shooters regardless of class in the area. In the division they are in I will argue that she can shoot with anyone in the division and that will be much needed from her all year. The young girls collectively make up notable payers for CHHS as their roles will mean a lot more than before.
Richmond Heights High School
head coach Eugene White is in his first year at Richmond Heights coming over from Lutheran East where he had success and had his way with some really good opponents. White is known for doing good things with a young program and building a culture for the players to buy-in. Cherish Maxwell is a player that will do a lot of the play-making for the Spartans. She can shoot it and does a great job with her energy on defense. Richmond Heights has a very young team and will grow, but in the end, will have success this year in their division.
Other Notable Players: Mya Johnson Class of 2025, Antwanise Class of 2024
Loudonville High School
Head coach Tyler Bates has a program that plays hard and he does a good job of preparing his girls to play in big games. Bates team plays hard and is considered one of the better-disciplined teams that conduct themselves the right way. A competitive style of play that works from start to finish. Corri Vermilya Corri Vermilya 5'8" | SG Loudonville | 2024 State OH 2024, but you couldn’t tell that by the role she played last year in her first high school season. With her sister being gone she has bigger shoes to fill and she can handle it. She can shoot the basketball and find her teammates making places at the right moment.
