If you miss [player_tooltip player_id="65932" first="Dalanna" last="Carter"], [player_tooltip player_id="96148" first="Alexis" last="Cortez"], or [player_tooltip player_id="134044" first="Amiya" last="Hopkins"], use the search bar, they were listed on the All-Tournament team and they are also listed in the Top 100 yet there were others that stood out, as well as those who broke, not to mention, gave me good first looks so I’ll start with 7 and stay the course [player_tooltip player_id="331962" first="Mercedes" last="Perez"]-5’5 CG (Taft HS) Perez is smooth and slick under pressure yet her peripheral vision is among the best, not only in her class, but in the state, if you don't know what that word means, you may want to look it up just in case yet she has a nice HEZ as well as a solid crossover to attack the rim but those on the money "no-look" passes just grab me, and she can do it with either hand. She creates her jumper, under pressure and drops the mid to long-range [player_tooltip player_id="331912" first="Reagan" last="Moilan"]-5’4 PG (Homeschool) Moilan showed me in each game she could take defenders off the dribble with either hand and when you combine that with her finishes after contact, that's big yet what's even bigger is she understands how to create contact which gave her numerous "and one" opportunities. The pull-up jumper is nice, she's athletic and creates her shot multiple ways but she also handles the ball and sees the floor well, both under pressure [player_tooltip player_id="331959" first="Elizabeth" last="Walton"]-5’7 SG (The Village) Walton usually gives me an "and one" highlight yet she gave me a few others as she attacked and finished with either hand, after the lick, and what was impressive is her aggressiveness in attacking the basket yet she also did a good job of creating her shot, in the set she knocked it down with ease and in transition, the "stop and pop" looked just as good but she also did a good job of seeing the floor and making tough passes, oh yeah, her defense was nice as well [player_tooltip player_id="331903" first="Makenna" last="Kaunitz"]-5’8 SG (Gilmer HS) Kaunitz was one of the most versatile guards at the event as she showed a variety of tools starting with her ability to take the defender off the dribble and finish strongly after contact or finish with the "FLOATA" yet she also could knock the jumper, with a hand in her face or the stop and pop in transition. She understands positioning as she outrebounded taller opponents and played solid defense [player_tooltip player_id="331954" first="Avery" last="McConnell"]-5’9 SF (Northwest HS) McConnell set the tone by diving on the floor for a loose ball and having the awareness to pass the ball while down on the floor in what led to a basket yet she also took defenders from, well anywhere to score, not to leave. out her rebounding and going coast to coast for baskets. She battles for loose balls off the rim, she sees the floor and her pull-up jumper, mid to long-range was very nice [player_tooltip player_id="331910" first="Acacia" last="Edmond"]-5’3 PG (Shadow Creek HS) Edmond is heady, she understands how to control the tempo as well as how to get her teammates involved but she also understands how to create her shot to either drop the jumper or attack the basket and finish strongly, with either hand. Mid to long-range was nice, so was her court vision as she hit teammates on the money in transition and in the set [player_tooltip player_id="311895" first="Danielle" last="Porter"]-5’11 PF (Dickinson HS) Porter just left me speechless the first time I saw her play yet she's given me plenty to talk and write about but her inside presence at the event was more than solid as she literally finished with players hanging on her. She scores off putbacks the same way, after contact but she rebounds on both ends of the court and that short jumper was looking pretty good as well as her attacking off the dribble
