Wallace gave me a great first look at the Space City Shootout, see evaluation here, but the second time was more than a charm. She showed more explosiveness, both in the open court as well as in the set, as her first step got her to the basket to finish with either hand, yet her court vision was also on point as she made tough passes in traffic on the money, with either hand as well

Gonzalez did so many things that she forgot one very important one when asked her about "changing hands in mid air to score" and that's a good thing because it means she did it instictively and I stress over and over how important that is. She also used a slight HEZ to get the defender off balance buther athleticism on both ends stood out as well, as she applied solid defensive pressure

Polanco left a lasting first impression earlier this season on the PGH Circuit, but she's a heady point guard who has quick hands to pick pockets as well as set the defender up to take charges. She handles the ball under pressure, scores off the dribble, drops the jumper, and threads the needle in transition

Craigg threw so many no-look passes that she not only had my neck hurting but got it back to normal, yet she "hit teammates from 20 feet away" at times, on the money. She also scored off the dribble, used a variety of fakes to get there, and showed solid body control on her finishes, but her defense, including playing the passing lane, was also solid

Matthews showed me she could score multiple ways at the Space City Slam see evaluation here, I mentioned she was athletic, but she's also "long and athletic", plus her first step was a problem for defenders as she finished after contact, at times acrobatically. Her court vision looked good, especially after she rebounded and hit teammates in transition

Johnson is another "long and athletic" guard who was simply a pest on defense as she took away the dribble neating her man to the spot as well as tied a few, yet seeing her play the passing lane and head to the basket to score or dish was nice, but her court vision across the board looked good period
