Yesterday we brought you our first five prospects who raised their stock on Sunday at the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250 Expo in Bloomington: [player_tooltip player_id="148341" first="Sammi" last="Chandler"] of Red Wing, [player_tooltip player_id="108327" first="Sierre" last="Lumpkin"] of Benilde-St. Margaret's, [player_tooltip player_id="339203" first="Aubrea" last="Kor"] of Pipestone, [player_tooltip player_id="339215" first="Pearla-Lynn" last="Teko-Folly"] of Rosemount and Caledonia's [player_tooltip player_id="186132" first="Alexis" last="Schroeder"]. Today we offer you five more in installment number two.
[player_tooltip player_id="339190" first="Amayah" last="Brown-Grindeland"] <strong>– 5'9 guard, Richfield</strong>
There are a lot of ways to shoot the basketball, some a little unorthodox, others more by the book, and many methods yield good results. But every so often someone comes along who shoots it like Amayah does – with great mechanics and a smooth motion that makes it look like art. I love how she holds the finish while watching the ball splash through the cylinder. Of course there's a whole lot more to her game, too. We saw that this summer as Brown-Grindeland (top photo) played a crucial role in 43 Hoops McCoy's run to the D2 AAU state championship where she shared the backcourt with another high-quality guard in [player_tooltip player_id="148339" first="Bre" last="Frazier"] of Cooper. Amayah handles the ball well, has good speed, is a strong perimeter defender and she knows how to score consistently both inside and out.

[player_tooltip player_id="186112" first="Ashlynne" last="Guenther"] <strong>– 5'10 guard/forward, Duluth East</strong>
Let's just cut right to the chase, shall we? Ashlynne is a scholarship-level college basketball player. Period. Full stop. No ifs, ands or buts. Exactly what level we just don't know yet. What we do know is Guenther brings a ton of assets to the table and she always seems to exceed our expectations. She's strong and athletic, with good size and a big frame. She's got nice touch around the basket and gets there really, really often with a combination of skill, smarts and strength. The result is nearly always a bucket. Or two. Or a dozen. Guenther has always been able to score and do it consistently, even against top Division 1 prospects in AAU and showcase settings. She continues to trend in the right direction.
<img class="alignnone wp-image-338610 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/10/234-Taylor-Sodeman-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />
[player_tooltip player_id="339225" first="Taylor" last="Sodeman"] <strong>– 5'10 forward, St. James</strong>
Taylor entered the Top 250 Expo as a bit of an unknown commodity. After a solid performance on Sunday, and a recent decision to join the AAU circuit next summer, I'm sure we will be hearing a lot more from Sodeman in the not too distance future. She made All-Conference in the Big South Conference East Division last winter with a solid all-around game. She's got a big frame and plenty of strength which enables her to play the 3 or 4 spot at the small-school level. Sodeman has played softball in recent summers but she'll be with the Minnesota Rise in 2022. That will be a step up in terms of speed and competition which should give us a better feel for just how high Sodeman's ceiling may be.
<img class="alignnone wp-image-338450 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/10/50-Kayli-Hinze-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />
[player_tooltip player_id="353920" first="Kayli" last="Hinze"] <strong>– 5'7 guard, St. Clair</strong>
Kayli is a quality point guard with quick feet and quick hands. She's confident with the ball in hand and demonstrates a lot of on-court intelligence. She also plays with a ton of energy on both sides of the ball. Hinze is what you might call crafty. She gets to the basket in a variety of ways, including a nice little hesitation step that creates space between her and the defender, and she showed the ability to finish well with either hand. Kayli has a nice little floater, too. She did a good job of defending the perimeter and also rebounds well for her size. Look for Kayli to put up a ton of points this winter. She's more than capable.
<img class="alignnone wp-image-338517 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/10/124-Jordan-Munson-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />
[player_tooltip player_id="220832" first="Jordan" last="Munson"] <strong>– 5'8 guard, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton</strong>
When we last updated the 2023 rankings in June, Jordan was among our most notable stock risers at the time. She jumped 17 positions up to the #85 spot. Fast forward to September when we selected our 10 best guards in Class A across the state. Munson made that list, too. And now here she is again raising her stock a little bit more at the Top 250 Expo. Playing on a squad that included the likes of 2025 standouts [player_tooltip player_id="252387" first="Aaliyah" last="Crump"] and [player_tooltip player_id="296514" first="Alaya" last="Carter"], Munson did her part to get noticed among the high-profile prospects. There's a lot to like about Jordan's game. She handles the ball very well, can do everything at a high rate of speed and against most levels of competition she has been able to fill up the basket. She's also a ton of fun to watch.
