Rob Walker with Tampa Thunder annually hosts the Red’s Super 64 Showcase. This year it was held at Carrolton Day School in Tampa and had over 80 individuals in attendance, showcasing their skills to a number of D2, D3, NAIA, and Junior College coaches throughout the day. Here are the top Guards that were in the gym last weekend!
Milan Santos Milan Santos 5'3" | PG Colonial HS | 2023 State FL 5’3 Point Guard 2023
ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 3.5
Santos is a smaller guard with a smooth game, a nice 3-point stroke, and plays with a lot of bounce to her step. She has good handles, is a solid passer, and has excellent court vision. She has some flash to her game as she likes to throw the no look pass for easy buckets inside to her post players. Her offensive game is well rounded, and she likes to play in transition, pushing the ball and attacking the basket. She is a pass first guard who will knock down the open 3 and selectively find her own shot.
Ellasyn Matiak 5’6 Combo Guard 2023
ACADEMIC INFO: 3.8 GPA
Matiak is an active guard, with a high motor, and plays hard on both ends of the floor. She has a high activity level and consistently moves without ball. Because she is so active and plays with a ton of energy, she is a good rebounder from the guard position. She is a hustle player who does the dirty work and finds a way to fill up the stat sheet in ways beyond points by doing all the little things!
Janai Jordan 5’7 Point Guard 2025
ACADEMIC INFO: 3.5 GPA
Jordan was the youngest player in the showcase and the only 2025 prospect. Just a freshman, she has a long, lean, athletic build with a ton of potential. She held her own against players 1, 2, and 3 years older than her. Her handle is impressive given her young age and she makes good decisions in traffic and against pressure. She carries herself with a steady demeanor on the court, never getting to high or too low throughout the game.
Joline Raposo Joline Raposo 5'3" | PG Bloomingdale | 2022 State FL 5’4 Combo Guard 2022
ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 3.7
Raposo is a quick, aggressive point guard who pushes the ball baseline to baseline consistently. She was one of the top 3 quickest guards in the gym and really stood out with her speed with the ball in her hands. Her offensive skillset is a bit undeveloped as she needs to improve her handle, passing skills, and outside shooting but she more than makes up for those things with her intensity, energy, and athleticism. Her best basketball is yet to come if she finds herself in the right situation at the college level that focuses on player development, as she has a ton of potential!
Maia Lewers Maia Lewers 5'5" | CG Brooks DeBartolo | 2023 State FL 5’5 Point Guard 2023
ACADEMIC INFO: N/A
Lewers is a strong combo guard who was an aggressive defender throughout the showcase. She consistently guarded the opposing team’s best player, using her strength and athleticism to pressure the ball and get into the player’s space.
