Yesiki Headed to Big Sky Conference
2022 5’10 shooting guard Kiana Yesiki Kiana Yesiki 5'10" | SG Eisenhower | 2022 State WA took to Instagram to announce her commitment to Portland State University. Yesiki came into the week as one of the top uncommitted seniors in the state, but now she joins 16 other seniors that are committed to play at the Division 1 level. Yesiki has a strong frame, solid handle and she is precise getting to her spots on the floor to get her shot off. Yesiki projects to have a very good senior season for Eisenhower High School before heading off the compete in the Big Sky Conference.
First 2023 Commitment In Washington
The state’s first commitment in the 2023 class has been officially announced. 2023 6’0 small forward Amelie Sitterud Amelie Sitterud 6'0" | SG Tahoma | 2023 State WA posted on her social media accounts that she has verbally committed to Loyola Marymount University of the West Coast Conference. Sitterud has been deep into the recruitment process for multiple years and ultimately decided that LMU would be her new home following high school graduation. As one of the top shooters in the state, Sitterud has seen her game expand beyond the three point line as drives to the basket, blocked shots on defense and scoring in transition are becoming more regular occurrences and coaches took notice this Summer. She has time to continue to expand her game before she is on campus and the 6 foot wing is definitely projecting on the right path.
