In our first release of the Class of 2025, we take a look at the top 7 players.
About Our Rankings
Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country.
You can take a look at the Class of 2025 Rankings HERE:
Kali Barrett Kali Barrett 6'2" | SF Cardinal Mooney | 2025 State FL
Height: 6’0
Position: SG
Overall Rank: 1
Positional Rank: 1
High School: Cardinal Mooney
Travel Team: FGB
Barrett comes in as the # 1 overall player in the 2025 class. The common theme in the top 10 of the class of 2025 is big guards (Woodard, Jones-Tynes, Gerardi, and Barrett) are all 5’9 and bigger and Barrett is the tallest of all of them coming in close to 6’0. She has a versatile skill set, solid handle, good range from 3, and uses her length, height, strong build, and athleticism well! Barrett has the height, skill, length, strength, and might have the highest upside in the top 10!
Lena Gerardi
Height: 5’10
Position: Wing
Overall Rank: 2
Positional Rank: 1
High School: Westminster Academy
Travel Team: Comets (PA)
Gerardi comes in as the # 2 overall player in the 2025 class and the # 1 wing. She plays high school basketball Westminster Academy but plays travel ball with the Comets out of Pennsylvania (as her father is Philadelphia Phillies manager Joe Gerardi). Simply put, Gerardi is a stud! She can get buckets in a variety of ways!! She can score in transition, in a half court setting, and is very comfortable vs pressure often serving as a human press breaker! The dynamic skilled guard has great size, can score from all 3 phases, attacks the rim with confidence and finishes well thru traffic! At 5’10 she is big enough and skilled enough that she can play 1-4. She is big, strong, and versatile. Her game is very well rounded as she can do a little bit of everything. Her strength and intensity are next level and really separating factors!
Arianna Woodard Arianna Woodard 5'10" | PG Lake Highland Prep | 2025 State FL
Height: 5’9
Position: PG
Overall Rank: 3
Positional Rank: 1
High School: Lake Highland Prep
Travel Team: Essence
Woodard comes in as the # 3 player in the 2025 and the # 1 Point Guard. She is a tough matchup on the perimeter and an excellent rebounder from the guard spot! At 5’10 she is an athletic, aggressive, versatile point guard with deep 3-point range. She uses her height, length, and athleticism well on both ends of the court. She is a high-level offensive player who has big time potential and major upside. She is a high level, major D1 BCS prospect.
Markeli Jones-Tynes Markeli Jones-Tynes 5'9" | PG Westminster Academy | 2025 State FL
Height: 5’9
Position: PG
Overall Rank: 4
Positional Rank: 2
High School: Calvary Christian Academy
Travel Team: GT Queens
Like Woodard, Jones-Tynes is a big scoring point guard. While Woodard is more athletic, Jones-Tynes has a more developed offensive skill set. At 5’10, she is a scoring point guard who plays hard and with a lot of energy and passion! She is a dynamic scorer, who has a well-rounded game and score the ball in a variety of ways. She can knock it down from deep, take her defender off the dribble, as well as pull up from mid-range. She is big enough and strong enough to get into the paint and take contact from physical defenders and take the hit to either create an easy shot for her teammate or get to the rim and have a chance at a 3-point play. Her strong build, high level of athleticism, advanced offensive skill level and high motor brings her in at # 2 in the 2025 class and a national level prospect in the 2025 class.
Jaida Civil Jaida Civil 5'11" | PG Palm Bay | 2025 State FL
Height: 5’11
Position: Wing
Overall Rank: 5
Positional Rank: 2
High School: Vero Beach
Travel Team: East Coast United
Civil is a long, athletic, raw wing player with tremendous upside on both ends of the floor! She is the class of 2025 # 5 overall prospect and the # 2 wing! The young, athletic 5’10 wing was impressive this summer, playing two years with East Coast United 2023 The Family squad. She has a big time vertical, can put it to the floor as a slasher going right, and has a quick and explosive first step. She finishes at the rim well, uses her length well on the defensive end and is a high, high level athlete who has tremendous upside on both ends of the floor.
Jim’Miyah Branton
Height: 5’7
Position: SG
Overall Rank: 6
Positional Rank: 2
High School: SLAM! Academy (Miami)
Travel Team: Miami Suns
Jim’Miyah is a quick and explosive guard, who is a nightmare for opposing teams to defend in transition. In the half court, she has a quick first step and attacks the basket relentlessly. She is an elite athlete who plays fast and is best in transition, consistently playing downhill and finishes well around the basket. Defensively don’t let Branton’s small stature fool you as she is a fierce rebounder, is active on the boards, and can pick up full court and get after opposing point guards. She had a big summer with the Miami Suns, playing against elite competition, and heads into the high school season as one of the marquee players in Dade county.
Dianka Hardisson Dianka Hardisson 5'5" | PG Somerset Academy Silver Palms | 2025 State FL
Height: 5’5
Position: PG
Overall Rank: 7
Positional Rank: 3
High School: Somerset Academy Silver Palms
Travel Team: Florida Lady Huskies
Hardisson is one of my favorite young players as she can shoot lights out from deep plays with a ton of moxy. Not just a shooter, she has a high basketball IQ, plays very hard on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor, and is a very good leader. Her energy really stands out as she plays the game with a passion and is an energy giver on the court, consistently hyping up her teammates. She is the top shooter in the 2025 class with range well beyond the 3-point line and is very comfortable with the ball in her hands. She is equally as good of a passer as she is a scorer.
About The Class of 2025 Rankings
This is the first release of the class of 2025. We have taken a look at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games. We have done our best to rank the players based on what we have seen personally. Our next updated ranking will be released in January of 2022.
