The girls from Bartlett, Fayette-Ware, Lakeway Christian Academy, and Rockvale, competed against some high-level competition that saw their teams get better. Some of the girls who traveled down south, came away making a huge impression on collegiate coaches in attendance. As you all know, Championships aren’t won early in the season, but these girls went down there to prove what they were made of. </span><b id="docs-internal-guid-b2fa58e9-7fff-d061-4e25-c600feca9dab" style="font-weight: normal;"></b></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This tournament was a good gauge for each of the team’s coaching staff. Coaches were able to get a better grasp on the pluses and minuses of their clubs, as well as see where they stacked up against national competition. Teams came away with learning their true identity. One thing is for sure, the Tennessee clubs left Jacksonville feeling better about themselves.</span><b style="font-weight: normal;"></b></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Here are some notable standouts from the Insider Exposure Thanksgiving Classic.</span><b style="font-weight: normal;"></b></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">[player_tooltip player_id="195902" first="Mallory" last="Collier"] (6’5/C/ Bartlett)</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">- After announcing the finalist that made her Top 10 college list, Mallory went down to Jacksonville like a wrecking ball. She played fantastic in both Lady Panthers games. Mallory has consistently gotten better, adding more things to her arsenal every time she steps on the floor. From bringing the ball up the court to start breaks, to adding a nice mid-range, Mallory’s game just keeps getting better. She was a beast on both ends of the floor. From controlling the boards to being the anchor in the paint. Where ever she ends up next year, the women’s program is getting a real gem in Mallory.</span><b style="font-weight: normal;"></b></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">[player_tooltip player_id="285350" first="Nevaeh" last="Scott"] (5’6/CG/ Bartlett)</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">- This young lady is starting to come into her own. She finished in double figures both games, lighting it up from downtown. She plays such a complimentary game with her teammates, that her game just comes naturally. She doesn’t force, plays the game with poise, and contributes in many statistical columns. Not a me-first girl, Navaeh is a team player who is the spark plug for her team. A multi-level scorer who gets it done on both ends of the floor.</span><b style="font-weight: normal;"></b></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">[player_tooltip player_id="285352" first="Halli" last="Stuffle"] (5’5/SG/ Lakeway Christian)</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">- Tough kid who just keeps getting better. Halli can shoot lights out from deep. She displayed her three-point prowess from deep multiple times down in Jacksonville. The 5’5 SG has some unfinished business to take care of as she looks to lead the Lady Lions deep into the playoffs. Great team player who is reliable on both ends of the floor. Halli can flat out get it done. An awesome kid who will bring plenty of excitement to this dynamic LCA program.</span></p> <b style="font-weight: normal;"> </b> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">[player_tooltip player_id="245353" first="Madi" last="Hawk"] (5’10/SG/ Lakeway Christian)</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">- Hard-nosed gym rat who just scored her 1000th point. Madi is a sharpshooter who is lethal from beyond the arc. She can also put the ball on the floor to attack gaps and finish at the rim. This girl just has a knack for scoring the rock. Her game isn’t just on the offensive side, as she contributes on the defensive end in creating turnovers and grabbing boards. This sophomore sensation has put together an impressive high school resume thus far. With plenty of more basketball to play, look for her to take her game to an even bigger stage in a few years.</span></p> <b style="font-weight: normal;"> </b> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Nya Burns (5’6/CG/ Lakeway Christian)</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">- Welcome to HS basketball Nya. This kid is super tough. She is a sharpshooter who can shoot the ball from beyond the arc. Her game isn’t limited from deep, as she can get into the 15ft and painted area consistently. She isn’t just a shooter, but a thorough passer who delivers the ball on time to her teammates. She creates havoc on the defensive end and isn’t afraid to mix it up and do the little things to get the ball back. An exciting prospect who has a bright future.</span><b style="font-weight: normal;"></b></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">[player_tooltip player_id="281332" first="Amani" last="Sharif"] (5’7/CG/Rockvale)</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">- Track champion who is a tough kid that plays the game of basketball with high energy. Amani prides herself on the defensive end, where she creates havoc. A true defensive juggernaut. Blessed with great foot speed, she uses her quickness to get by defenders. Amani is known to make the hustle plays, leading to momentum shifts for her club. Going after loose balls, taking charges, blocking shots, this senior is a force to be reckoned with. </span></p> <span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">[player_tooltip player_id="245369" first="Rachel" last="Griffin"] (6’3/C/ Fayette Ware)</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">- The sophomore post player continues to get stronger night in and night out. Has great footwork in the painted area, where she displays finesse around the rim. She has a nice mid-range game that compliments her touch from the block area. She is a beast on the defensive end of the floor, where she collects boards and blocks shots. Rachel is an anchor on the defensive end. Look for her to continue to attract the eyes of collegiate coaches as she creates more havoc for her opponents throughout the season.</span>
