3 Teams to Watch
Yellow Springs returns the consensus for Player of the Year in the conference as the high scoring Angie Smith Angie Smith 5'6" | CG Yellow Springs | 2022 State OH returns. Averaging 23 points per game last year, Smith is heads and above everyone in the league this season. She has an excellent perimeter shot, can drive past her defender and score at the rim. Also sees the floor very well. Aailyah Longshaw was the second leading scorer for the Bulldogs meaning they could be the favorites this season.
Legacy Christian took the biggest hit, losing their top two players and reining Player of the Year Emma Hess and key guard Kathleen Ahner both to college, but watch for Margaret Kensinger to be a big threat from the perimeter, as she got hot in the post season last year from behind the arc.
Dayton Christian returns a sparkplug in guard Alena Seaquist, who returns as the leading scorer and floor leader. Two of the three top scorers have graduated so they will look for some other younger players to step up this season.
3 Facts about the MBC
The conference has dwindled down thanks to Troy Christian leaving for the Three Rivers Conference. Also Miami Valley returns this season after not fielding a team last year. Jefferson is also in jeopardy of having a team this year and Emmanuel Christian didn’t play last season.

Angie Smith Angie Smith 5'6" | CG Yellow Springs | 2022 State OH is just shy of 1,400 career points and could reach 2,000 points with an exceptional season. She would have to average nearly 29 points per game to hit that landmark. Smith is a Division One prospect at the guard spot.
