The second of the new conferences in the Dayton area takes us to the Three Rivers Conference for this season preview. This league brings together a group of teams from a variety of different conferences.
Teams who make up the new league are Bethel, Covington, Lehman Catholic, Miami East, Milton Union, Northridge, Riverside and Troy Christian.

Covington could be the favorite heading into the season as they look to capture the initial league crown. Harrington (feature photo above) is a guard who can create and looks to score in multiple ways. She has a high level basketball IQ and is able to create turnovers into points for her team. I like the athleticism and length of Besecker, who has the quickness to get to the rim and finish. The Buccs are a talented group, and two more to watch are 5-11 2025 Maggie Anderson, a quickly rising freshman who is an impact player already. Gracie Anderson is a 5-9 2024 who has experience and a balanced game who will contribute.
Miami East will return a very talented guard in Hunley who is super athletic and agile guard who can explode to the rim or will hurt you from behind the arc. She is a good on-ball defender who has active hands and can create. Watch 2025 guard Jacqueline Kadel who is getting better every day she takes the floor. 2024s Maryn Gross, Kennedee Elifritz and Logan Phillips are very talented and will be growing their game this season.

Moore (pictured left) is an athletic multidimensional wing who has good body control, can score at the rim and rebound She also is a good leader. 2023 Kerrigan Calhoun is a wing who can score from the perimeter with range behind the arc. They also have a group of underclassmen who could be a factor if they continue to develop as the season progresses.
Troy Christian always brings a competitive squad under the director of veteran coach Tony Ferraro. They are led by Johnson, a physical post who can handle the paint well, has good footwork and can defend the post. 2024 Brooklyn Lavy had a nice freshman season, and more will be expected from the guard who sees the floor well and can distribute. Keep an eye on 2025 Jocey Hill, who could become one of the top freshman in the conference.
Milton Union looks to compete with some key underclassmen this season looking to be a factor in the conference. 2024 Rachel Jacobs will miss the season due to an injury, but 5-7 2024 guard Ava Berberich and 5-10 2024 Shannon Brumbaugh looks to step up and be a big factor. A 2025 who I really like is 5-6 guard [player_tooltip player_id="319324" first="Jenna" last="Brumbaugh"], who showed me a lot this fall and is a poised freshman who will continue to improve.
