Western Reserve Conference Preview

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The <strong>Western Reserve conference</strong> Kenston High School ranked 1st in the WRC last year with a 6-1 record in its conference. Also, Chardon High School ranked 2nd in the WRC last year with a 5-3 record in its conference. In addition, the WRC has North High School ranked 3rd in the WRC last year with a 4-3 record. Mayfield High School was ranked 4th in the WRC last year with a 2-4 record in its conference. Notably, South High School ranked 5th in the WRC last year with a 2-5 record in its conference. Likewise, Madison High School ranked 6th in the WRC last year with a 1-4 record in its conference. To summarize Riverside High School ranked 7th in the WRC last year with a 1-6 record in its conference. </span> <b>3 Players to watch this upcoming season: </b> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="162140" first="Catara" last="DeJarnette"], 2022, Kenston High School</strong> A dynamic player that has the ability to play at the next level. She was the player of the year last year and her numbers showed one thing, but her ability to play and show off her skills we’re very impressive. Staying in front of this young lady in her conference hasn’t been shown to be slowed down or stopped as she has had her most impressive games in the conference. An unsigned senior who is looking to campaign her team for conference champs and player of the year. She is the most electrifying player in the WRC. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="270500" first="Uriah" last="Jennings"], 2023, Mayfield Heights High School</strong> A lot of talent and growth has been highlighted by this young lady. She is a combo guard that can play on or off the basketball. The best thing is that her athleticism allows her to create opportunities. She is a player that scores the basketball on all three levels. The word is out and everyone is aware of what this young lady can do for the wildcats, but with a new coach, it will allow her to spread her wings and make it harder for other teams. She has the ability to play at the next level with an offer already from University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="313120" first="Kailey" last="Minch"], 2023, North High School</strong> A recent transfer from in conference Willoughby South is heading over to North to lead the rangers in which she is fully capable of doing. She can flat out play. The effort that she plays with is unmatched and she is a two-sport athlete in which her soccer ability carries over and she benefits from it on the basketball court. Minch has a lot of experience on the varsity level and is a special kid with the basketball in her hands and is a distraction for teams when she does not have the basketball in her hands. A kid with a high motor that keeps going will look to be great this year and keep the rangers on the successful path that they have been on with top-notch talent. This young lady will be playing for a college program one day. <b>3 Teams to watch this upcoming season:</b> Kenston High School North High School Mayfield High School <strong>Other Notable Remarks: </strong> Don’t sleep on Riverside High School. The beavers have a load of talent coming back and they have some adjustable pieces in the program in which they are long and athletic. That coach does a great job with putting his players in the right position to win games.
