Casey Lewis - Palm Beach Lakes
2022 Casey Lewis has played well for Palm Beach Lakes. The 5-foot-9 forward is averaging a team-best 12.9 points while grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game. Against <strong>Santaluces</strong>, Lewis scored 25 points and 14 rebounds. Moreover, she went 11-of-12 from the free-throw line. Lewis also is a good defender with 24 steals. She has the Rams off to a 7-2 start.
[player_tooltip player_id="244203" first="Emoriah" last="Mchenry"] - Miami Norland
The Vikings have some good players in 2024’s [player_tooltip player_id="221841" first="Shania" last="Swan"] and [player_tooltip player_id="219927" first="Ka’Zahria" last="Johnson"]. 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="244203" first="Emoriah" last="Mchenry"] is a name not to forget. The 5-foot-9 forward is averaging 8.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from the floor. She scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against <strong>Somerset Academy Silver Palms</strong>. McHenry added another double-double against <strong>Mater Lakes Academy</strong> with 13 points and ten rebounds. She has played in 73 career games to date. Swan is averaging a team-best 10.6 points per game while Johnson is grabbing just over 12 boards and two blocks per game. She is one of the better rim protectors in the area. Johnson just needs to shoot the ball better from the floor.
Thais Forbes - Coral Gables
The Lady Cavaliers have a good player in 2022 Thais Forbes. Per information, the senior prospect is averaging a team-best 10.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from the floor. In addition, Forbes has a pair of double-doubles. Against <strong>LaSalle</strong>, she scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (six offensive).
Maria Paula Garcia - Schoolhouse Prep
2023 Maria Paula Garcia has been a <em>big</em> presence for Schoolhouse Prep. Per information, the 6-foot forward/center is averaging 14.2 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game while shooting 45 percent from the floor. The Wolfpack also have two great players in 2022’s <strong>Catalina Valenzuela</strong> (15 ppg) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="353490" first="Genesis" last="Toledano"]</strong> (13.7 ppg). The trio have Schoolhouse Prep sitting at 8-6 overall.
[player_tooltip player_id="244205" first="Ziul" last="Gonzalez"] - Miami Christian
The Victors have a good mix of sophomores and seniors. [player_tooltip player_id="244205" first="Ziul" last="Gonzalez"] has been one 2024 that has been playing well. The 5-foot-7 guard is averaging 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 43 percent from the floor. Moreover, Gonzalez is 13-of-39 (33 percent) from deep. She scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting from the field in a loss to <strong>Westminster Academy</strong>. In addition, Gonzalez had 15 points, five assists and four rebounds against <strong>Fort Lauderdale Calvary</strong> <strong>Christian</strong>. Those are two quality opponents. Miami Christian is 8-4 overall with Gonzalez in the fold.
