Day 2 of the Conway Jr. High Invitational Tournament did not disappoint. There were some good team play as well as some good individual play. There were some repeat standouts from the first day, but we also have some newbies to add to the list. Keep reading below for the players that stepped up on day two of the tournament.
Katie Fimple | PG | 2026 | North Little Rock
When Katie is on the court you can't tell that she's an 8th grader. She plays with a swagger and confidence you don't find in too many players. With that confidence come the skills to back it up. She handles the ball well, gives great effort on defense, has unlimited range, and can make plays for her teammates.
Addison Grogan | Guard | 2025 | North Little Rock
Addison is a role player that does everything the coach asks of her. She plays with a smile on her face while giving total effort no matter what is going on in the game. Her heart and playing hard allow her to be successful while on the floor. She hit mid-range jumpers, scored in transition, and did a good job of pressuring the ball handler.
Liza Parker | PG | 2025 | Russellville
Liz is a good ball handler that does well against pressure. On day one she didn't get many opportunities to score, but she played solid defense and ran the team when she was in the game. On day two, more scoring opportunities came her way. A lot of those opportunities come off her teams' defense and forcing turnovers. Liza was able to capitalize by getting to the rim and finishing with runners and floaters.
Jacey Edrington | CG | 2025 | Green County Tech
When Jacey is on the court you have to know where she is. If you are not attached and her feet get set, you might as well count the bucket. Jacey hit back-to-back three-pointers today in the championship game that began a run to pull away from their opponent. She hit multiple threes during the tournament from spot-ups, off screens, and in transition. She can also run the point, make plays for others, and play good on-ball defense.
Addie Ryan | CG | 2027 | Green County Tech
Of all the players I saw play during this tournament, Addie probably had the biggest heart. The only 7th grader in the tournament, she didn't back down from anyone on the court, no matter the situation. She handled any pressure that was thrown at her, she attacked the defender's closeout with straight-line drives, and she made open catch and shoot three-pointers.
Makenzie King | Guard | 2025 | North Little Rock
Makenzie is a tough athletic guard. She handles it well enough and has the poise to run the point or she can slide over to the off guard position. She really excels defensively when she is guarding the ball or when she playing in the open court. Her speed and quickness makes it difficult to stay in front of her and keep her out of the lane.
