The Ouachita Baptist commit played well, as expected. Though she is a lethal outside shooter, she did not hit a three-pointer, but she found other ways to impact the game.

Fimple finished the game with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and a team-high 2 assists. Her shooting makes teams play her extremely tight (don’t believe me?–just look at her profile picture). This opens things up, such as driving lanes, and if the defense collapses on her that way, then it opens up her teammates to have opportunities to cut or to have good looks from outside.

Another star guard from North Little Rock is the sharpshooter Katie Fimple Katie Fimple 5'5" | PG North Little Rock | 2026 State AR , whom I also watched twice last season.

As alluded to in the previous paragraph, Fimple is one of the conference’s best 3-point shooters. If she has an open look from beyond the arc, you better believe she will be knocking it down. The same goes for her mid-range game, as she is just as dangerous to knock down a jumper just a step inside the arc.

On the other end of the floor, Fimple plays hard defense for all 32 minutes. She moves her feet effectively, staying in front of her assignment all game long, picking up steals along the way thanks to her active hands.

Katie Fimple Katie Fimple 5'5" | PG North Little Rock | 2026 State AR ‘s role will increase in 2025-26 after Kinley Mears graduated and went on to Texas-Dallas. NLR fans cannot wait to see Fimple light up the box score again, but the rest of the 6A Central could wait a little longer.

As many of you probably know, I was the play-by-play commentator for Little Rock Central High School girls’ basketball this past season. I got to see Katie Fimple Katie Fimple 5'5" | PG North Little Rock | 2026 State AR hoop in person twice, and each time I could feel Central fans stressing out whenever she put up a shot.

Fimple is a lethal shooter, especially off the catch. She has a high-arching jumper, and she is able to hit 3-pointers and mid-range shots against just about any defender. Her shooting composure is impressive, as she is not bothered by closeouts or defenders with a long reach.

Fimple proves her worth on the defensive end as well, forcing turnovers left and right, causing havoc for the opposition. With her quickness, she can beat an opposing player to any spot on the floor, cutting off players from the basket or preventing an opponent from getting a shot off in space.

Katie Fimple Katie Fimple 5'5" | PG North Little Rock | 2026 State AR will be tasked with more next season. If she takes that next step up, she will raise her stock.

I think it is fitting to start out talking about a star from my alma mater, Katie Fimple Katie Fimple 5'5" | PG North Little Rock | 2026 State AR of North Little Rock High School. Fimple has already received offers from Maryville University, Henderson State University, and Ouachita Baptist University. The reigning 6A central all-conference teamer is in store for a massive junior season.

Katie Fimple Katie Fimple 5'5" | PG North Little Rock | 2026 State AR is a fan-favorite in NLR, and she won over a lot of people with her sharpshooting ability. Once Fimple has her feet set, she is letting the three fly with tremendous arch. The ball takes two business days to come back down, just long enough for fans to hold their breath when she is shooting in the clutch. Last season, Fimple made 67 3-pointers and averaged just over 10 points per game. Most of her points came from beyond the arch, but Fimple did showcase her slashing ability at times last season. She uses her quick first step to fly by defenders and she can finish with both hands. She can also seal off defenders with her body in order to gain some separation in the paint.

Fimple also averaged 2.3 assists per game, showing her willingness to get her teammates involved. She averaged 2.1 rebounds per game, which is fitting considering she is a scrappy guard who does not mind doing the dirty work at times for her team.

Katie Fimple Katie Fimple 5'5" | PG North Little Rock | 2026 State AR is not afraid to hoist a triple, and will do so several steps behind the 3-point line. Fimple’s basketball resume is impressive in just 2 seasons of high school basketball, so her upperclasswoman years with the Lady Charging Wildcats should be fun to watch.

A 5’5″ point guard from Arkansas who has good speed and quickness along with a high basketball IQ. Her court vision is excellent and she was making good basketball decisions while playing at a quick tempo. She was getting downhill on the dribble while also being able to knock down open 3-pointers.
