CTC Classic: Standout Forwards
2022 6-0 F [player_tooltip player_id="210366" first="Sariya" last="Henry"] – Grayson
College coaches are starting to ask more questions about [player_tooltip player_id="210366" first="Sariya" last="Henry"]. The versatile forward defends 1-5, covering guards in the half court and playing atop the press. Sariya is a long-armed aggressive rebounder that earns second chances inside. The lefty is starting to transition more toward the wing and can hit the 15-footer. Henry is just scratching the surface of her potential and could really take off in college.
2024 6-1 C [player_tooltip player_id="364634" first="Jada" last="Monroe"] – North Gwinnett
[player_tooltip player_id="364634" first="Jada" last="Monroe"] caught my eye with her size and touch. She’s a big body that can take up space and finish through contact down low. She uses her frame to her advantage, absorbing contact and drawing fouls. Jada can step outside and shoot the three. She moves well laterally and is a quality rim protector. Monroe finished with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in a 63-58 win over Banks County.
2023 5-10 F Brenasia Faust – Elbert County
Void of size, Elbert County turns to Brenasia Faust to do the dirty work. Her rebounding and interior defense are invaluable. She’s the last line of defense that cleans up any drives to the hoop. Faust doesn’t have many plays called for her offensively and instead gets on the glass and scores on putbacks. She plays her role to a T and is an unsung hero in the paint.
2024 6-0 C [player_tooltip player_id="364635" first="Carley" last="Segars"] – Banks County
Blessed with great size and a sturdy body, Segars has a lot of measurables going for her. She gets to learn next to [player_tooltip player_id="286840" first="Kamryn" last="Grier"] and gets better every day in practice for it. Segars is an effective rebounder that must be accounted for on the glass. She moves well and has upside on the low block with her footwork. Not many in Class 2A can match Banks County’s twin towers lineup.
2025 6-1 F [player_tooltip player_id="364637" first="Johanna" last="Potter"] – Wesleyan
Potter is long and agile. She stays on the boards for the full 32 and can dictate the action in the paint defensively. She can score with either hand and can put the ball on the floor when attacking from the high post. Potter stuffed the stat sheet vs. Johns Creek with 4 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks.
