December’s Effective Passers

I’ve been able to see a handful of games in the Charlotte area this month. Here are some of the assist leaders that I’ve been impressed with so far. [player_tooltip player_id="295033" first="Kyndall" last="Shivers"] | Marvin Ridge | G | 2022 2 points // 1 rebound // 5 assists // 1 steal Shivers did a great job pushing the ball up the court finding her open teammates flashing in the paint for some points. She did her own drives to the paint to put up some points or find her open teammates. Emma Barnes | Parkwood | G | 2022 7 points // 2 rebounds // 5 assists // 1 steal Barnes opened up the court for her teammates driving hard to the basket drawing defenders her way to make a nice pass to her teammates. She showed the importance of timing when making her passes, and she knew how to make sure the pass wasn’t intercepted. She can certainly score by the rim on her own, too. [player_tooltip player_id="302224" first="Sophia" last="Zoerb"] | Hough | G | 2025 5 points // 1 rebound // 4 assists // 1 block Zoerb showed off her range shooting the ball. She was a great decision maker knowing how to fake to get her defender on their feet and drive around them. She sees the floor directing her teammates where to go as she’s handling the ball. She was constantly flashing in and out of the paint to get open and shift the defense.
