I have noticed there aren't a lot of freshmen on varsity in the Houston area on many teams. Bellaire has 4 [player_tooltip player_id='1092120' first='Tyniah' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='532193' first='Sarah' last='Gregory'], [player_tooltip player_id='516309' first='MaKyah' last='Foreman'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1092103' first='Jasmine' last='Timmons'] all playing major minutes and all showing next-level potential right now and I just noticed Westfield has 5 on their roster yet most of these players I listed on Honorable Mention have me clueless on who they are yet I placed them on here for a reason and like many other reasons I've given, they usually go over the heads of many with all of the nonsense available on social media to confuse but just trust me
[player_tooltip player_id="307745" first="Aniyah" last="Foy"]-CG (Cinco Ranch)
Foy is one of the top players in the country, didn't me long to realize that a couple of years ago yet what I realize is her work ethic will never be challenged because "she wants this" and because she's long and athletic, she will definitely have an overflow of colleges knocking on her door, a figure of speech yet figure out how to hold her will be tough because she's long and athletic, attacks with ease, has body control and finishes after contact but she also can drop the id to long-range. Playing defense as well as "the passing lane" are both ahead of her years and she rebounds
Abby Taylor-G (Jordan)
Taylor is athletic, did a good job of handling the ball and seeing the floor, and showed she could score. She makes good decisions and has good upside
Allie Hakimzadeh-G (Jordan)
Hakimzadeh applied heat on defense and that heat was almost triple digits so that equated to her enjoying playing it. She went after loose balls, as well as rebounds
Christionna Ellis-G (Bryan)
Ellis is a player I have caught for years with the Lady Thunder so I was always impressed with her upside. I did NOT catch her here but her poise, upside, and ability to shoot the ball places her on the list
Ashlynn Hollis-G (Klein Collins)
Hollis also grabbed my attention away from the event, in fact, I've been watching her run around courts since her older sister starred but she is long and athletic, can score off the dribble, and has a nice jumper, again, I did NOT see her in this event yet I'm an expert
Jalynn Thomas-PG (Mayde Creek)
Thomas didn't get flustered by the heat, that's always a good sign for players but it's a great sign for point guards because the game has and will always start at the 1, yeah I know it starts at the tip but here's a tip, I will definitely be watching her progression based on her "poise under pressure" and ability to see the floor
Kara Hart (Katy Taylor)
Hart has plenty of her last name and watching her outrebound players 5 inches taller lets me drop #THROWBACK because I love things you can't teach and DESIRE is definitely one of them. She gets it, and she gives it as she finished on outbacks and showed nice hands and footwork, very good upside
