Hoban Hoopfest Day 2 standouts

As we went through a good day 1 of the Hoban Hoopfest below we will see who were some of the standout players for Day 2 of the Hoopfest. Bishop Hartley Jr 6’3 C Ella Brandewie Ella has committed to OSU for volleyball but she sure makes a statement on the hardwood. She has a soft smooth touch around the rim, good-looking post moves she even throws in a very rare hook shot, she runs the floor well has a nice pull-up jump shot very impressed with another big that can play. She is a player that is poised for a big season and we saw it on display on Day 2. Bishop Hartley  Jr 5’8 PG [player_tooltip player_id="313102" first="Kiarra" last="McElrath"] Kiarra is a nice smooth guard who can get in the seams of the defense, make’s quick sharp cuts to be able to get her passes to her players, and has good court vision. Kiarra has great ball-handling skills and put that on display as she was able to finish with mid-range floaters and showed that she had a ton in her arsenal. Nice range from the 3 point line she will not be denied. Very active guard keep an eye out on her Brush 6’1 Sr PF [player_tooltip player_id="162141" first="Asia" last="Nicholson"] Asia is a player that when you see her, the athleticism is what jumps off of the page. She runs the floor hard every play, goes after every rebound, and has that fight that other players do not have. She is a great finisher around the rim and is a confident scorer in the sense that there are not many shots that she does not like. She is going to be a force to reckoned with during the season and is a player that should surely be on many people's radar. Laurel 6’2 So. F [player_tooltip player_id="280082" first="Helen" last="Holley"] Helen has a ton of upside and is a player that goes all out when she is on the floor. She goes after every ball that comes her way either for a rebound and also attempts to block or contest every single shot that goes up. Helen is small in frame but makes up for it with toughness and athleticism. When she adds more to her offensive game, she will be even more dominant as she checks every other box. Watch out for Helen as she will be a player you hear a lot about. St. Joseph Academy 5'8 PG Ryan Elbery Ryan is a pure guard who seems to be all over the floor. She hustles, get rebounds, blocks shots and makes good plays for her teammates. She has a nice form to get her shot off the dribble and moves well off screens and find spots on the floor when she passes the ball. Boardman 5'5 So. PG Mackenzie Riccitelli Mackenzie as a small point guard she played with heart and passion every second. She get her shot off quickly and makes good choices. She can wiggle her way in the lane to get her shot up. She is in the Youngstown area keep eye out on her name
