These are players that are just leaving it out on the line for their team, no matter what the job is, Upperclass and underclassmen are making a statement let’s take a look below for you guys and see who we are talking about.
Kenmore-Garfield 5’6 Sr Pg Briana Bunkley
Briana was stunning in her previous game scoring any way she wanted to, getting to the basket, and hitting the three-ball connecting on 4 from deep. She also had 13 steals to go along with her 32 points. She was very impressive just be on the watch. When you have 13 steals in a game that means you are working hard on defense that’s exactly what she has done.
Kenmore-Garfield 5’11 Sr. Fw Quimari Shelton
Quimari when you see her you wouldn’t think of her as an undersized PF, she gets the job done she can dribble from coast to coast, worked on her mid-range shot over the summer now she translated that to her game. She is a physical forward that does not back down from any player doesn’t matter if it’s a guard or a big she will be up to the challenge her last previous outing 15 pts and 17 rebs. That’s called getting the job done for her team
Stow Monroe Falls 5’11 Sr Pg Kristen Chmielewski
Kristen is probably the most underrated point guard there is. But in every game, people will know about her more and more. She has been playing lights out playing stellar defense, making good passes in the half-court or fast breaks, and defiantly doing what she does is knocking down the three-ball she will get in the lane and grab rebounds also, she will take the contact her last outing she scored 28 points and hit 14 from the free-throw line, watch out for this sr guard and her showing what she can do to take care of this team
Akron Buchtel 5’0 SG Aniya Howze-Blake
Aniya is a smaller guard but when she is hot she can get the three-ball, She has been getting challenged to get more rebounds each game she has stepped up to the challenge on that, Pulling in 18 rebounds past two games, and sticking her hand in the passing lane to force turnovers by the opposing team. She tallied 9 steals in her last game so you have to know where she is at all times. In her last outing she scored 22 points, she is a sophomore but be on the lookout for this young guard.
Ravenna 5’8 Fr SG Breena Kainrad
Breena is a young player with a lot of time to develop into a really good shooting guard, she has a good upside she plays defense well jumps the passing lane for steals, runs the floor good and can finish at the rim. She moves well without the ball and has been making an impact these past couple of weeks she is doing what needs to be done to get the win. I watched her play earlier in the season was impressed how she fits in and plays well with upperclassmen. Her last outing 15 points 5 reb
Copley 5’11 Jr Pg Victoria McKnight Victoria McKnight 5'10" | CG Copley | 2023 State OH
Victoria played and showed why she was added to the rankings, she is very versatile, long, and distracts plays with her length. She is a guard but can rebound like a big, she plays good defense gets her hand on every loose ball and there is nothing you can do about it, you have to know where she is located if not she will be the next female glove. She moves well in all directions she can get up and down the floor light on her feet, nice shooting touch, she will move up in the rankings quickly you better get to know her. Her last outing 8 pts,7 reb, 5 stl, 2 asst, 1 blk
Copley 5’9 So Fw Emily Kerekes
This was my first time watching her play and she surely stood out. She has a nice soft touch around the rim, runs the floor and steals the ball at every chance she gets, especially in the passing lane. Emily has a nice smooth 3-point shot and when she is left open she is going to make you pay. She is a sleeper player who will make her name for herself this season. Be on the watch for Emily as in her last outing she had 18 pts and 3 steals.
Glenoak 5’5 Sr PG Breezie Williams Breezie Williams 5'6" | PG Glen Oak | 2022 State OH
Breezie a University of New Hampshire recruit will do whatever it takes for her team to win she is a crafty guard with great skill work. She is very quick with the ball quick lateral movement she can get to the rim with ease. Quick jab step to where she get get to the rim or she will use it for a quick shot. She is very polished and will try and take her team to state this season. She works hard every play. In Breezie’s last outing she put up 21 points and impacted the game in various ways.
