In Part 2, we’ll look at a few more athletes that sent a next level alert at the Flight Hankamp Scrimmages.
[player_tooltip player_id="147769" first="Tadassa" last="Brown"] (2022, F, Columbia Central)
This one seems fairly obvious, considering that she’s set to play in the ACC with Clemson next year. Brown was able to dominate the glass when her team needed it and was even a primary ball handler over the course of the day. Don’t be surprised if Brown fairly easily averages a double-double this season.
Nya Sanders (2022, G, University High)
Sanders put her name on the map at the Flight Hankamp Scrimmages. She pounds her dribble and attacks the defense. Sanders showed 3 point range on her jumper. She worked very hard off the ball which helped her get looks at the rim.
[player_tooltip player_id="227584" first="Lizzy" last="Scharer"] (2022, G, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
There is a lot to like about Scharer’s game. She’s a steady and solid decision maker when the ball is in her hands. Scharer attacks the lane with her right hand, which creates a ton of openings and opportunities for her teammates.
[player_tooltip player_id="227585" first="Kaylei" last="Smith"] (2022, G, Onsted)
Smith looks ready for a very nice senior season. She can get down the court and is always pass ready when her team has the ball. The future Siena Heights University Saint is going to bury a lot of big shots this season.
[player_tooltip player_id="227588" first="Kylie" last="Summer"] (2022, G, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
Spring Arbor is getting a steal with Summer. She looked absolutely terrific on the defensive end on Saturday, which was a big part in her bringing home the Flight Hankamp Scrimmages MOP. She showed excellent defensive footwork and quick hands which led to a bunch of turnovers.
