[player_tooltip player_id="273927" first="Grace" last="O’Sullivan"] - Rivers - 6’0’’ - SF/PF - ’25
As we head into winter break, I cannot name 5 freshmen I would take over O’Sullivan. She has been awesome for Rivers and showed out against Bradford Christian Academy last Friday. She led the team with 16 points, and the only way to slow her down was to foul her. O’Sullivan lived at the line and converted her free throws. Watching the ’25 class across NEPSAC, only a few have figured out early on how to score and create their shot consistently against AA opponents. O’Sullivan has passed that test and should continue to soar as the calendar year changes.
[player_tooltip player_id="328523" first="Kimora" last="Daly"] - Storm King - 5’10’’ - CG - ’22
Daly is another athletic Storm King combo guard who can use her size and quickness to create her own offense. She had a strong performance vs. Tabor finishing with 9 points. I like Daly because every move she makes on the court is full speed and purposeful. It is rare to see her catch the ball and not look to assert herself on offense. A major reason Storm King was giving a great Tabor team trouble in the first half is because of the tone set by Daly.

[player_tooltip player_id="283290" first="Dani" last="Ceseretti"] - NMH - 5’11’’ - CG - ’24
Ceseretti is one of only a few guards who can operate in the high post and consistently create plays for herself and others. What separates Ceseretti from other prospects at her position is that her point guard mentality and IQ are inside a near 6’0’’ athletic frame. Her versatility and willingness to play all over the court give NMH a significant advantage on defense and offense. Ceseretti can play both sides of the ball at a high level, and she had an impressive weekend at the Nickerson.
[player_tooltip player_id="298219" first="Emily" last="Collins"] - Loomis Chaffee - 6’1’’ - PF - ’22
Collins was an impactful force inside and on the glass in the two Loomis Chaffee games I saw. Both Brooks and Nobles had no answer for her strength inside and her second chance points were significant in both games helping Loomis on the cusp of a win. Collins also is an excellent mid-range shooter and hit some timely 15-foot jump shots over the weekend.
[player_tooltip player_id="267149" first="Maeve" last="Gaffney"] - Brooks - 5’10’’ - SF - ’23
Gaffney had a huge bounce-back game Saturday afternoon vs. St. Andrews after an off-shooting performance the day prior. Her 17 points against St. Andrews included 4 three-pointers, all coming before halftime. Brooks is scary enough with their big 3, never mind when Gaffney provides elite marksmanship from the outside. Averaging 14 points on the young season, Gaffney is proving to be one of the most valuable role players in the NEPSAC.
[player_tooltip player_id="368082" first="Caroline" last="Orza"] - NMH - 5’9’’ - SG - ’22
Orza is another NMH guard who can stretch the floor with her mid-long-range shooting. Orza works hard to get open, too. She isn’t the fastest or most athletic player on the court, but she moves well without the ball and is very tactical. Orza knows where to be, when to be there, and catches the ball ready to score. Against Dexter Southfield, she was the most impressive player from NMH, finishing with 10 points and 2 three-pointers.
