Ohio 2024 Rankings Stockrisers- Part 1

The sophomore class in Ohio has already shown a lot of talent as they look to make progress during their second season of varsity basketball. With the PGH Ohio rankings out, here are some stockrisers of players who all have landed in the latest Top 20. <strong style="font-size: 1rem; font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="217308" first="Gigi" last="Bower"], 5-9 2024, Olentangy Liberty</span></strong> One of the top guards in Ohio in the 2024 class. She has jumped up to #5 in the latest rankings. Has deep range well beyond the arc. Has a quick release and can score with consistency. Can create space between her and the defender. Moves well without the ball, can get into position to score. Defensively Gigi can create chances for her team with active hands and smart decision making. Can run the floor in transition. <span style="font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="217310" first="Kendall" last="Braden"], 5-9 2024, Toledo Christian</span></strong></span> High scoring guard who possesses outstanding handles, can play at a high tempo, create and finish. Solid footwork, able to get around her defender and score in the paint. Good Euro-step and can finish. Can turn on her speed to a different level and capable of scoring with either hand at the rim. Need a three? No problem for this multi-dimensional player. She has excellent three-point range and is an instant mismatch for the opponent. She will score from the perimeter over a smaller defender, or can take it into the paint. Good handles for her size, can run the floor and finish through contact. Can use her length to create a problem defensively for the opponent. She is a skilled, court savvy player who keep getting better. With her size and handles she is hard to contain, she is so much more physically gifted than most typical guards. Strong handles and is able to post up on the block, switches roles from the perimeter to the post. <span style="font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="217341" first="Isabella" last="Callaway"], 5-7 2024, Akron Hoban</span></strong></span> A very solid point guard who can play above her years. Court sense is very high, good basketball IQ. Able to create for herself or her teammates. Able to score and play in various tempos. Can score in the paint, uses both hands well and has good range from behind the arc. Continuing to improve and work on her weaknesses. High ceiling for her.
