Not only is Prep Network the authority nationwide for covering prep athletes in many sports, but over 30 states are focusing on girls basketball coverage to not only the college coaches who are recruiting you, but for parents, players and fans to keep up on who is doing well around each state. And they are growing.
Here in Ohio, we have a solid team of hard-working scouts who are watching games, watching film and connecting with coaches across the Buckeye state to tell you about the college prospects for not only the major Power 5 schools, but all levels of college basketball. We will try to bring you names you are familiar with, and one thing we do differently than others, we will bring you the names you may not know but need to know.
Watch for these faces in the gym all year long in 2022!
Angie Saiter (left) is a hard-working basketball lover who not only coaches middle school basketball in the Dublin school district, she has an intense love for the game and the players in Central Ohio. She has been in the gym all across Ohio watching not only events, but individual events that are hosted by a variety of folks. She is a teacher by day, and a student by night, as she loves to learn about the game and its players. She will be covering Central and Southeast/Eastern Ohio, and for those who would like to reach out to her to let her know about any players who we need to see from her area, please contact her. We will be updating the rankings again in April, so if we missed anyone from her area, please let her know so she can bring it to the table at our next update.
Matthew Evans (left) will be scouring the gyms in the southern part of Northeast Ohio, keeping an eye on the talent in that area through the season. Matt is originally from that area. and played the game in not only high school, but a year of semi-pro basketball. After his playing career ended, he coached for five years and is now going to make sure that region of Ohio is taken care of for PGH Ohio. If you are from Northeast Ohio and have players for us to watch for future games or ranking updates, you can reach out to Matthew and let us know who should be added. Also from Northeast Ohio will be Adam Johnson, who is active on the AAU circuit and will provide coverage up around the Cleveland area.
Haleigh Behnken (left) is the newest member to the PGH Ohio staff, as she will be covering a lot of Northwest Ohio players and helping me in Southwest Ohio. She is still playing at the collegiate level, and currently is broadcasting with the TKDS Network. She was honored as a first-team all-Ohio basketball player her senior year in high school and has a deep love for the sport of basketball. During her senior year in high school, Haleigh broke the single-season scoring record with 484 points and was Player of the Year in District 9 and Southwest District Player of the Year.
As for me, this is my fourth year with Prep Girls Hoops Ohio and I have enjoyed watching the site grow every year. My main coverage area will be Southwest Ohio along with Northwest Ohio, as this is my 36th year covering girls basketball in the Buckeye state. Haleigh and I will be on the circuit all spring long at every single event, while Angie will be at several events adding her great coverage. In addition to the Prep Hoops Circuit coverage this spring, I would anticipate Matthew and Adam will be covering different event in their region, as several folks will be hosting team and individual events in that area.
