Three of them played in the championship game, while the other two suited up for the third-place contest. Cape Notre Dame won it all by defeating Jackson 50-49, while Sikeston took third with a 66-42 victory over Dexter. The vast majority of these players are pure shooters and tenacious defenders.
SEMO Conference All-Tournament Second Team
2022 5’6″ SG Amyari Blissett Amyari Blissett 5'6" | SG Sikeston | 2022 State MO , Sikeston: When she gets on a hot streak shooting the ball, there’s hardly no stopping her. Has significant range on top of swishing most of her makes from beyond the arc. Nice dribble drive and moves to attack the basket. Hustles on defense to force turnovers and contest shots.
2023 5’5″ SG Jenna Givens Jenna Givens 5'4" | SG Cape Notre Dame | 2023 State MO , Cape Notre Dame: Proved herself to be a top-notch 3-point shooter as she will make teams pay if they leave her alone in the corner. Gets in quite the rhythm knocking down treys. Incredibly high motor on the defensive end as she can guard on-the-ball with the best of them.
2022 5’8″ SG Leah Jansen, Cape Notre Dame: Such a smooth yet aggressive attacker of the rim who lives for fast-break buckets. Can also catch fire from beyond the arc. Hard-nosed defender who presses nonstop and has excellent lateral movement. Is also unselfish with the ball and keeps it moving.
2022 5’9″ CG Jordyn McClellan Jordyn McClellan 5'9" | SG Jackson | 2022 State MO , Jackson: Has incredibly smooth handle and control when handling the rock. Is very patient with the ball and will always make the right decision as she’s a crafty passer. Knockdown shooter from 3-point range and usually only needs one move to jet past defenders.
2023 5’10″ SF Caitlin Giles Caitlin Giles 5'10" | SF Dexter | 2023 State MO , Dexter: Fields great moves like her floater to attack the basket and does so with fluidity. Demands a lot of attention from opposing defenses. Shares the ball extremely well for scores. Solid defender with excellent awareness and nice length to get takeaways.
