The regular season is rolling along through the second week and Christmas tournaments start up next week. With so many of Kentucky’s best female hoopers committed and/or signed, here’s a look at some of the best unsigned Seniors left on the board.
[player_tooltip player_id="106132" first="Halle" last="Langhi"], Marshall County - A fixture in the top 10 of these 2022 rankings since they launched, Halle has yet to announce a commitment is one of the rare athletes who hasn't tweeted any offers, etc. The daughter of former SEC Player of the Year Dan Langhi, Halle is averaging 21 points and 15 rebounds per game this season but is just as likely to sign for volleyball as she is for basketball.
[player_tooltip player_id="259216" first="Madelyn" last="Lawson"], Dixie Heights - One of the best players in Northern Kentucky regardless of class, Lawson has been on a tear since coming back from knee injuries that cost her a Sophomore season. So far in her Senior season, Lawson is putting up 19 points and 7 rebounds per game as a big wing and is comfortable playing with the ball in her hands or as a wing scorer.
[player_tooltip player_id="106136" first="Mia" last="Hale"], Estill County - Hale has been the leader of the Lady Engineers for what seems like a decade now. So far this season, Mia is averaging over 20 points per game which I believe would be a career best if she maintains it. She's also kicking in 6 rebounds per game and scoring despite every opponent's defense being geared towards slowing Hale down.
[player_tooltip player_id="106142" first="Timothi" last="Williams"], Great Crossing - Williams just scored her 1,000th career point last night in a win over Scott County and has the potential to help Great Crossing to their best season yet in the school's brief history. Timmi is sort of a swiss army knife in the sense that the big wing does everything. She scores, she rebounds, she defends, she'll block some shots. She makes winning plays.
[player_tooltip player_id="31892" first="Briante" last="Gowdy"], Campbellsville - One of the best Class A players in Kentucky, Bree has carried a huge scoring burden for Campbellsville for her entire career. She is forced to take and make tough shots every night out and is the type of player who will be a huge asset at the next level when she doesn't have to face double and triple teams every night.
