2024 5-9 PG Lucy Hood Lucy Hood 5'9" | PG Rabun County | 2024 State GA – Rabun County
Hood sent shockwaves through Hall County when she went viral, launching a three from beyond half court to beat the buzzer and stun Cherokee Bluff, completing a comeback to lift Rabun County to an improbable 72-71 victory. Lucy drilled five threes on the game and finished with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Hood is a very good athlete that can catch fire with her outside shot. Putting her head down and getting to the rim more often is an area of growth which she can improve upon and will make her even tougher to stop. She’s well on her way to becoming a D-I prospect.

2025 5-6 PG Gracie Byford Gracie Byford 5'5" | PG Villa Rica | 2025 State GA – Villa Rica
Gracie looks every inch of a freshman, but she has a cool game that mature beyond her years. Byford can light it up from beyond the arc and has deep range which she pulls with confidence. She pushes the ball very well in traffic and has impressive vision, able to whip in one-handed passes to open teammates. She dropped 16 points, 4 assists and 2 steals in a rout of Bowdon at the SMI Holiday Classic. Byford could be the next 1,000-point scorer at Villa Rica.
2022 5-8 G Alexis Burce – East Hall
NAIA, D-II and D-III schools are after Alexis Burce. She’s a veteran guard that has experience both handling primary ball handling duties and being the number one offensive threat. She scored 20 points in a loss to Chestatee. Burce has a solid pull-up game and does a good job drawing fouls when attacking the hoop.
2024 5-7 G Carson Demars – Cherokee Bluff
It was a career day for the soccer star on Monday as everything she touched turned to gold. Though Cherokee Bluff lost at the buzzer, it was a memorable day for the sophomore who recorded 18 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals. Demars brought immense energy, infectious to her team. She used her speed to make plays on defense and scored on layups inside. Every rebound bounced her way and every time she passed the ball it turned into an assist. Demars was the main reason why the Bears almost pulled off a major upset.
2024 5-6 G Kaitlin Cook – Cherokee Bluff
Another soccer standout, the lefty’s nose for the ball and ability to hit timely shots was crucial down the stretch. Cook handled the full court pressure of Rabun County and would back her way down and spin off defenders to get her way to the hoop. She went 6-9 from the foul line and compiled 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
