Caitlin Behling Caitlin Behling 5'10" | CG South Milwaukee | 2022 State WI -5’10 G-South Milwaukee (D2 William Jewell commit)
Behling is committed to NCAA Division 2 William Jewell. The South Milwaukee guard can win a game in six minutes. I’ve seen her twice, and she showed she single-handedly wins the Rockets games with her defensive instincts, shooting, and speed on the break. I’m confident that Behling will do great things at the next level, and she will be a great representative of how good the girls’ basketball scene is in Wisconsin.
Brooke Theis Brooke Theis 6'0" | C Shawano | 2022 State WI -6’1 F-Shawano (D2 Bemidji State commit)
The Shawano forward is a versatile big who is athletic enough to play different roles. The talent that Theis has is unique. Not many girls with her size and athleticism can shoot and attack the basket off the dribble. Even less can do that, then go on the defensive end and protect the paint at a high level and switch onto guards on the perimeter if that’s what she needs to do. Bemidji State is getting an excellent forward next season.
Rylie Collien Rylie Collien 5'8" | CG Hustisford | 2022 State WI -5’8 G-Hustisford (Uncommitted)
Some signs make me think that Collien can be a great shooter at the next level. Collien has gotten better at shooting every year, and if she plays at the next level, there’s a good chance that continues. The Hustisford guard does a great job at helping her team rebound, averaging about seven and a half rebounds per game. Collien is also a talented soccer player, so she may have a choice to make about what sport she plays in college. That said, if this is the end of her time on the hardwood, she’s done an awesome job.
Abbie Bates Abbie Bates 5'9" | CG Menasha | 2022 State WI -5’9 G-Menasha (Uncommitted)
Bates is a player who can shoot at any level. After being a mid 30% 3-point shooter her sophomore and junior seasons, she is up to 43% her senior season. The only way something like that happens is with thousands of shots alone in a gym. The Menasha guard has proven that she is a high-level shooter at this level and made herself an intriguing prospect in a year. If Bates plays at the next level, her shooting could get her on the floor early.
Zoe Fink Zoe Fink 5'9" | SG Stevens Point (SPASH)s | 2022 State WI -5’9 G-Stevens Point (Uncommitted)
Over the last two seasons, Fink has gotten more efficient. She’s scored roughly the same amount of points every season, but she’s needed fewer shots to do it. This season feels like one that could land Fink at the next level. A 42% 3-point shooter who rebounds and has a positive assist to turnover ratio sounds like a kid who you can trust to do good things with the time she has on the floor. If Fink gets an opportunity at the next level, she will take it and run with it.
Gaby Matamoros Gaby Matamoros 6'0" | PF Waupun | 2022 State WI -6’0 F-Waupun (UW-Whitewater commit)
At a school as talented as Waupun, you need players like Matamoros. The Warrior is a big who can score around the rim and shoots over 75% from the free-throw line. Matamoros is a player who you want on the floor in crunch time. The senior also helps make her teammates better by setting good screens, protecting the paint, and making herself available as a release valve for her teammates. Teams in the WIAC will not enjoy playing against the Matamoros.
Callie Ziebell Callie Ziebell 5'6" | PG Slinger | 2022 State WI -5’6 PG-Slinger (Uncommitted)
The Owl is one of the toughest players I’ve come across. Not only was the first time I saw her one of her first games back after tearing her ACL, but I also would’ve never guessed she’d gotten hurt without the brace she had on at the time. When I evaluate kids, I think, what can they do to get them on the floor in college. For Ziebell, she doesn’t just space the floor. She stretches defenses out to 30 feet. She shoots in the mid to upper 30% range, but that’s due to where she shoots. Her shooting range goes out to the volleyball lines. Defensively, Ziebell is a vocal leader who isn’t afraid to dive on the floor, even after coming off of an ACL tear. I know this kid will help a team at the next level. Now it’s a matter of who she’ll play for next year.
Saige Radke Saige Radke 5'7" | PG Milton | 2022 State WI -5’6 G-Milton (Uncommitted)
I just got to see Radke for the first time over the weekend. I throw what she’s done statistically out the window because she’s asked to do so much at Milton. That said, Radke has the talent to play the 1 or 2 at the next level. Radke isn’t afraid to take on defensive aces herself and has a variety of ways to get to shots she wants. When the Redhawk gets into the paint, Radke can finish with both hands. She also looks comfortable taking 3’s when she does find space. Coaches in the talented Badger Conference respect her game. So even though I saw her get into foul trouble early, Radke is a next-level talent who should be getting looks,
