Here are a few players that should be on someone’s radar as they are over-shadowed but they are worth watching,
Fairport Harding 5’4 Jr. PG Kara McFadden
She is an exciting guard to watch for her size she can get the job done. She can score a variety of ways she is good off the step back for a three or running off screens when she doesn’t have the ball in her hands. She can just come down on a fast break and knock the shot down, good court vision makes the pass others couldn’t make. She is a pure shooter she scored her 1000 career points after the new year keep it rolling.
Southeast 5’8 Sr. CG Regan Pettigrew
Regan picks her spots on the floor she can play on the wing or down low she won’t force a shot she knows she cant make and she lets the game come to her. She can split the defenders and finish at the rim with contact. She is a player you will hear more of her name throughout the season. If there is a loose ball around her she is going for it knee brace and all she going on the floor you won’t see that very often, The energy in this player is great she can do it all watch out for this Sr player this year we will keep track of her
Independence 5’10 So C Cat Reiger
Cat she does it all when you don’t think she isn’t there she is going the other with the ball, she defends well has the speed to get in the passing lane to go the distance with the ball and finish at the rim. Good all-around player, she box’s out to grab rebounds she can score from down low with a soft mid-range shot, she will be a good athlete when it’s all said and done.
Independence 5’11 Sr F Anna Weber
Anna is a premier player she is a big that can play every position, she is very skilled at the highest level. She has good dribbling skills like a guard and split the defenders and get to the basket. She has a smooth shot from the outside and soft touch around the basket, moves well without the ball in her hands, understands the concept of the game well, the way she plays she should have an outstanding senior season
Walsh Jesuit 5’8 PF Jr Meg Tarba
Meg is an undersized big but plays hard, she is the workhorse she gets a gang of rebounds to be able to give her team more scoring opportunities on the offensive end, she plays very hard on both ends of the court, she can get to the basket with a variety of moves and she is efficient. She has her team playing well keep an eye out on her she can get the job done.
North Ridgeville 5’8 Jr SG Laney Rumtancik
Laney can flat out shoot the ball unlimited range if you don’t have a hand up or if you give her some space she will make you pay. Moves well running off screens and getting to the basket. She is a solid off guard, she play’s the game well solid defender and solid offensive player, also has a nice shot she finds a way to put herself in the right area so she does not have a contestant shot. Good player to keep a watch for.
North Ridgeville 5’6 Sr PG Daylan Baker
Daylan plays her position and does it well, she is a solid guard who does not have to score but she controls the game, and when it matters the most the ball is in her hands to be a clutch scorer from the free-throw line. Never panics under the pressure from the defense she plays right through it. She can get to the basket and shoot the ball well also. She is the type of player you want on your team.
Springfield Holland 5’2 So SG A’Leah Hodges
A’Leah is a small guard but plays bigger than she is, she is a feisty and quick guard, she pushes the ball in transition can finish at the basket, and makes the right play. A nice smooth jump shot from the 3 point line if you leave her open she is a knockdown shooter. For her to be a sophomore she has a lot of upsides to play on the highest level. A’Leah can fill up a stat sheet gets everyone involved in the game she will be one good guard with more years to come.
