With a new year, comes New Year Resolutions! I’ve already made a resolution to see 5 post players play.

My second new year resolution in 2022 to see these 5 perimeter players. This could mean seeing them either more or for the first time.
[player_tooltip player_id="364156" first="Grace" last="Capling"] (2024, SG, Ida)
Capling is just the type of guard that I want to see play. She’s a multi level scorer that can take advantage of what the defense is giving her. I really like the physical brand of basketball that she can play. Capling doesn’t shy away from contact and plays through it. She has a smooth jumper that she doesn’t hesitate on off the catch.
[player_tooltip player_id="147728" first="Alaina" last="Diaz"] (2022, CG, Hudsonville)
She’ll be returning to the floor soon and I need to take advantage of the opportunity. I’ve been very high on her game for years now and that still continues. Diaz has a Miss Basketball type influence on the game. She’s a force on both ends of the floor and may be the fastest player in the state. Diaz can advance the ball through pressure with both the dribble and the pass.
[player_tooltip player_id="190710" first="Ava" last="Perry"] (2023, PG, Ann Arbor Skyline)
Perry is playing really well this season and I need to check it out. She’s always been a terrific athlete and a speedy player, but something seems to have clicked. Perry has been a lightning bolt offensively, as evidenced by her 30 point game in a huge win over Ann Arbor Huron. She’s definitely an improvedplayer to keep an eye on moving forward.
[player_tooltip player_id="230825" first="Maddy" last="Terry"] (2023, PG, Wayland Union)
All the whispers say that Terry is playing some really solid basketball. I look forward to seeing her scorch the net in typical [player_tooltip player_id="230825" first="Maddy" last="Terry"] style. She can catch a hot streak from behind the arc and absolutely change a game. It’s not just that Terry can shoot, but she appears to be a big shot taker that usually connects when it means the most.
[player_tooltip player_id="244303" first="Ashley" last="Weller"] (2024, CG, Jackson Northwest)
Weller has a solid and intriguing all around game. If I had to bet, I’d say that we’ll be hearing a lot more about Weller in the near future. She’s an efficient scorer with a nose for the ball and a feel for a good shot. There’s a lot of upside to Weller’s game and I look forward to seeing her continue to develop as a basketball player.
