As we zoom into 2022, we come upon the close of the 2021/2022 High School Basketball Season. Here is a look at a few more Orlando Area Standouts from early 2022.
Jasmine Bocca Jasmine Bocca 5'3" | PG Colonial | 2024 State FL 2024 5’1” PG Winter Park. Bocca just about does about everything for Winter Park. While running the point position, she leads the team in rebounds at 4.6 per game and points with 20.6 per game. She consistently takes the ball to the basket off the dribble with a veteran craftiness, even though she is only a 2024. On defense, she stifles the opposing point guard with relentless in your face on the ball pressure. Tons of upside for this kid, be interesting to see continued advanced development in the next few years.
Mikayla Pittman 2025 5’2” SG Winter Park. She and Bocca are the Batman and Robin for the Winter Park Wildcats. Pittman, shoots with a high level of confidence from the corner and the wing. She spots up and drains the three balls at a 33 percent rate.
Holland Harris 2025 6’2” C Lake Nona. Harris, a high energy post that plays with fight and determination. She runs the floor like a track athlete. She finishes through contact at the rim. Harris, only a freshman, has tremendous upside. If Harris can develop a mid-range jump shot to her skill set, she has the potential to be a top post in Central Florida.
Saraya Butler 2025 5’4” PG Lake Mary. She is a smooth Point guard that controls the team. Butler plays with poise, along with a toughness that you would expect from an upperclassman. Constantly getting her teammates the ball, in a productive way. I look forward to seeing her over the next few years.
