Gianna Lane- 5'8, Tree of Life H.S.: I've watched Gianna for the last three years, and coaches, let me tell you, she can play! Currently the top area scorer in Central Ohio, as a freshman! She can shoot from anywhere, great muscle memory, comfortable with the basketball, and goes coast to coast quickly. Lane creates offense for her teammates, with strong drives to the basket. She plays intense defense, and can pick pockets all day. Rebounding? No problem! She goes after the ball anytime, from anywhere, against anyone. Love her defense! Special student athlete right here. (Featured Photo, on defense)
[player_tooltip player_id="360702" first="Rylee" last="Bess"]- 5-6, Pickerington Central H.S.: (Below with ball) This young lady has an incredible future. Mark my word, there's gonna be a lot of college coaches knocking on her door! Fantastic speed, can stop and go on a dime. Unreal basketball IQ, just knows when to shoot, when to pass, excellent court vision, and her passes are spot on. Consistent and reliable shooter from anywhere. Bess is just as strong defensively, plays suffocating D, which allows her to pick pockets and create easy transition buckets. She's currently recovering from a knee injury.
[player_tooltip player_id="319045" first="Providenza" last="Allen"]- 5'9, Big Walnut H.S.: I had the opportunity to watch Providenza back in July, and was impressed with her game! She moves well without the basketball, and does the little things that lead to buckets and rebounds. She battles hard for position inside the paint, and has solid footwork. Finishes plays in traffic, and good decision maker.
[player_tooltip player_id="319352" first="Sophie" last="Chard-Peloquin"]- 5-10, Newark Catholic H.S.: Basketball talent runs strong in this family, and Sophie has the work ethic and skills to go very far at the next level. Love her length and athleticism. Handles the rock well with control. Plays with composure, can slither between multiple defenders and knows how to score! Nice shooting form. Defensively hits the boards- her height, speed, and ability to jump makes her tough to stop on both ends of the court.
[player_tooltip player_id="360838" first="Haley" last="Griggs"]- 5-4, Perrysburg H.S.: Griggs is a floor leader, with nice handles, and can put the ball in the basket! Plays with confidence, anticipates the passing lane, and either converts from turnovers, or sets up her teammates for easy points. Keep your eyes on Griggs!
[player_tooltip player_id="368883" first="Gracie" last="Perkins"]- 6-1, Wheelersburg H.S.: When you have a player like Perkins, with her size, and has the ability to handle the basketball well, that makes for one very tough assignment for opposing teams. She cleans up strong inside the paint, but cannot be left alone from outside either! She can play from anywhere on the court. Scary to think what she will be doing by the time she's a senior. The sky's the limit for Gracie!
[player_tooltip player_id="368879" first="Joi" last="Williams"]- 5-5 , CVCA: Williams can do it all! She has quick feet and hands, which makes her game so strong, both offensively and defensively. Joi finds the seams in defense, which creates nice looks at the basket for herself, and teammates. No problem knocking down shots from outside! She's a reliable player that finds ways to get the job done!
