With Covid, NCAA transfer rule changes and the ever changing landscape of recruitment, the class of 2022 has been severely impacted. As a result, there are a few more very recruitable prospects than there would normally be in mid January of the high school basketball season. Below are some seniors that college coaches at some level should be offering now.
2022 5’7 PG Mya Hatchett Groce Mya Hatchett Groce 5'7" | PG Pasco | 2022 State WA of Pasco High School is at the top of this list. She has been a hooper on a mission this Winter leading the number one 4A team in the state. She is averaging 20 points per game, playing lock down defense and doing other small things on the court to help her team win ball games. She is the front runner for MCC League MVP in the Tri-Cities.
2022 5’11 SF Colbi Zorich Colbi Zorich 5'11" | SF Inglemoor | 2022 State WA from Inglemoor High School is an unselfish, super hard working, wing prospect that can bring intangibles to the floor for a college program. Zorich also has the skill to drive to the paint and finish, defend multiple positions and play in a half court or uptempo setting.
2022 5’11 SG Gabby Stuart Gabby Stuart 5'10" | SG Seattle Prep | 2022 State WA is having a really strong season for Seattle Prep. Stuart has really evolved her skill set to being a regular 20 point scorer, while also bringing in 10 boards per game with her hustle that has been on display since day one.
2022 5’9 SF Kali Haizlip Kali Haizlip 5'9" | SF Emerald Ridge | 2022 State WA has been a major part of Emerald Ridge’s run to becoming one of the top 4A teams in the state. Haizlip brings versatility, toughness and leadership to the floor. Several PNW schools have missed the ball on Haizlip as well as the other prospects mentioned.
