The players listed below resemble a blue collar work-ethic and it showed on the court this week at Tulsa Public’s Tournament of Champions.

Hard worker, stays low on defense and has the lateral quickness to stay in from of the ball. Active hands and does a phenomenal job getting through screens. Attacks the open gap strong and can finish at the rim. She is able to hit the open jumper but is at her best attacking the basket and her effort on the defensive end. Rebounder, solid defender, and will give you 120% effort any given night.
Feisty defender on ball and on the back side rotation. She has quick instincts and is a competitor. She helped her team by consistently being in the right place at the right time. She is lightning quick and fast and uses her talents on both ends of the floor. She excels in the open floor in transition – no one will catch her. She is quick but she plays under control and bring great depth to the Lady Chieftains.
Solid, Strong Post player inside. Good moves and foot work in the paint. Hustle player that will rebound and get extra possessions off the glass. Has range and can shoot the long ball on the perimeter. Relentless when attacking and can finish is different ways: floater, reverse – you name it. She made it look easy and did not stop. Kayla led the Tigers on all 3 games of the tournament.

Aggressive player that will work hard and be the difference maker for her team due to the energy she brings. She plays strong and with confidence, driving to the basket and shooting with no hesitation. She can handle the ball good and handles pressure well. Rebounder, second chance efforts and can guard multiple positions on defense. Her intensity makes her a solid player.
Hard worker on the defensive end. She will guard the best player and shut her down. She has the ability to score the basketball at a high level, but she showed that she is also a high-level defender. Active hands on the ball and plays the passing lane great and will get deflections and steals. She had a ton of energy and produced from every area. At times you won’t notice on the stat sheet but she is an impact player. Finisher at the rim, slasher without the ball, ready shooter, and just the complete player. She had her best shooting game on day three against Kiefer shooting a ton of long two-pointers, a 3-pointer and a bunch of strong finishes at the rim and scoring 21 points in the 1st half, and eventually finished the game with 27 points and 12 rebounds.
