In my continued series from Week 6, I will look at some of the sophomores who did the things to draw attention to their game.
Kya Seemann, 5-6 2024, Patrick Henry
As a guard, she showed good promise with her game. Kya can put the ball on the floor and can get to the rim, showing the ability to create shots even for her size. She has the ability to find the open player for scoring chances, and can play downhill. As her game continues to grow, the tools she possesses will increase, and she will add to her game to help her team.
Kenzie Prigge, 5-6 2024, Patrick Henry
This sophomore is not afraid of contact and can penetrate with a good first step. She has good intensity for the game, and despite being a sophomore, she has good intelligence for the game. Good handles, able to create for shots. Good defensive player and able to push in transition.
Ava Henry, 5-9 2024, Leipsic
An up and coming wing player, shows good ball control with good handles and the ability to be a good floor leader. Defensively she has active hands and does a very good job running the floor well in transition. Ava can also move well without the ball and can get to her spots to score Good perimeter game and has range from the outside
Kenzie Roark Kenzie Roark 5'8" | CG Fairmont | 2024 OH , 5-7 2024, Fairmont
Saw her vs Northmont, and her game continues to grow. She is no stranger to PGH as she has been on the circuit with Dayton Metro. Love her intensity for the game, high motor and smart player. Great handles, can run the show and pushes in transition. She can find her open teammate with good court vision and not afraid of contact. Plays with swagger. (pictured above)
Julianna Gunn, 5-3 2024, Northmont
A rising sophomore who does a nice job anticipating the game on defense, has good handles and shows good speed by pushing the ball in transition. Does a nice job with her court vision, Still working on her game. The team is struggling to find their identity but Julianna continues to make good strides.
Annslee White, 6-0 2024, Hamilton Ross
Annslee has a good athletic frame and is part of a team who starts three underclassmen. She is a worker and puts out a good effort in her game. I would like to see her get more physical on the boards, it would help her development as a player. She is a good prospect as her game continues to grow.
