My final look at Week 6 in Ohio girls basketball, I take a look at some of the seniors that I saw in action. Next week, the entire PGH Ohio crew brings you coverage from both the Classic in the City and the Classic in the Country.
<strong><span style="font-family: arial black, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Allison Mowen, 5-6 2022, Eaton</span></strong>
I got to see Eaton battle Hamilton Ross last week, and one of the most underrated uncommitted senior guards is Allison Mowen. She has the ability to step out and score from the perimeter with good range. Allison has solid handles and is a good leader for her team. She brings good leadership to her team and that will help her at the next level. She sees the court well and is a very solid defender with a good IQ.
<strong><span style="font-family: arial black, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Nikane Ambos, 5-6 2022, Wapakoneta</span></strong>
Showed a nice jump shot from behind the arc, while also being able to play at a fast pace in transition with good handles and body control. She shows good experience with the ball and makes good decisions. Moves well and looks to be a big part of their offense.
<span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong>Addy Allen, 5-5 2022, Wapakoneta</strong></span>
A guard who played well in transition, plays under control with good handles and sees the floor well. Can put the ball on the floor and push the ball downhill. She is not afraid of contact, and gets to the free throw line to help her team. A leader who knows the.game
<span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong>Carlee Young, 5-7 2022, Van Wert</strong></span>
One of the experienced leaders for the Cougars, the only senior in their starting lineup. Carlee is a perimeter threat and one thing I liked about her is her ability to communicate on the defensive side of the ball. She is good on ball defensively and has active hands. Hard working guard.
<span style="font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="269825" first="Mallory" last="Hullinger"], 5-9 2022, Kettering Fairmont</span></strong></span>
This next-level leader is very skilled and able to defend multiple positions on the floor. Mallory has a high basketball IQ and will thrive at the next level. She is able to score in many facets of the game. Can play fast, does well in transition and can run the floor and finish.
