2023 5-7 G [player_tooltip player_id="154608" first="Christina" last="Collins"] – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Collins is a physical guard that plays 1-5 for LFO. She’s got wide shoulders and a powerful build which helps her absorb contact and finish around the rim. Christina scores with both hands. She does a good job catching at the high post and getting to her left hand. Collins’ strength allows her to play bigger than her size. She has strong hands that pluck rebounds out of the air. Christina is a very good outlet passer. She piled in 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. Most of her points came in the paint but Collins also hit a pull-up three. She’s an interesting prospect to keep an eye on. 2023 5-4 G [player_tooltip player_id="376374" first="Angel" last="Simmons"] – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe A move-in from Lookout Valley, TN, Simmons provides a non-stop motor atop the Warriors’ 1-2-2 press. Angel chases the ball around as the only defender in the back court and then does the same once in the front court, trapping above the arc. Simmons is quick and aggressive on-ball. On offense she has an effortless three-point shot with deep range. She drilled five threes on her way to a game-high 25 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 steals. 2025 5-5 PG [player_tooltip player_id="372731" first="Christen" last="Collins"] – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Christen is going to be a difference maker for the next 3+ years in the backcourt. She’s a good ball handler with a solid foundation. She’s a dangerous three-point shooter but also can beat her man off the dribble and get downhill. Collins tallied 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals in the rout. 2022 5-0 PG Princess Simmons – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe The floor general. Princess Simmons didn’t look to score but instead was the engine that help made the Warriors go on both ends of the floor. The undersized guard provided energy and veteran leadership, all while having a smile on her face. She showcased a nose for the ball with a strong all-around floor game recording 5 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists, 7 steals and 1 block. 2022 5-7 G Mykeria Johnson – LaFayette Mykeria Johnson finished with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. She’s a solid athlete that plays atop the 3-2 zone. She was able to attack with pull-up jumpers and knocked down three three-pointers. 5-4 G Jenna Baker – LaFayette Jenna Baker’s toughness impressed me. She’s got a strong compact frame and will drive the ball hard into the teeth of the defense. She competes well on the glass and can rip away 50/50 balls. Baker is a good shooter. She hit four mid-range jumpers to go with a pair of threes. Jenna totaled 20 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals. 2022 5-6 PG [player_tooltip player_id="285174" first="Lauryn" last="Towns"] – North Cobb Christian The powerhouse guard is a pitbull on the floor. She looks to overpower opponents with her strength when driving to the basket or digging out rebounds. She shot the ball well when left open from the three-point line, sinking a pair of long balls. Towns is still improving and learning to harness her aggressiveness on her way to becoming a true point guard. She dumped in 19 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in a 53-50 loss to Darlington. 2023 5-11 W [player_tooltip player_id="269506" first="Brooke" last="Moore"] – North Cobb Christian The toolsy wing has one of the higher ceilings in Georgia’s 2023 class. She flashes her instinctual abilities throughout the game, jumping passing lanes and blocking shots with ease. Brooke can do a lot on offense. She had some nice drives that she finished with floaters and loved to pull-up or step-back on her jumpers. She hit two threes and netted a pair of mid-range shots. Moore went 7-17 FG and 2-4 3PT to finish with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 block. D-I schools will want to keep Brooke on their radar. 2023 5-11 F [player_tooltip player_id="376373" first="JyJy" last="Johnson"] – Darlington Johnson has improved since the last time I saw her. Known for her physicality inside, able to bang, rebound and score in the paint, JyJy has stretched out her game to the perimeter. She hit two mid-range jumpers and a pair of threes while also attacking off the dribble to score on drives. Johnson was able to go coast-to-coast on steals, showcasing ball skills and quickness. She tallied 23 points, 14 rebounds and 2 steals. 2022 6-1 C [player_tooltip player_id="376375" first="Emmaline" last="Ratledge"] – Darlington A big strong post presence, Ratledge excelled at getting to her left hand. She would post up hard and step through across the lane to get to her lefty hook in traffic. Ratledge scores with both hands and has a powerful drop step.
