Atheing Bol Atheing Bol 6'2" | SF Highland | 2024 State CA | SF | Highland
another agile forward body type with length that can hit the transition three pointer. She is a good defender and can run the floor like a gazelle. She knocked down about seven off the bounce three pointer from well beyond the arc and did with so much confidence. She was equally aggressive to the rim and could get there with ease of the dribble or slashing to the rim off the pass. She was fun to watch and we will be keeping tabs on her for later stories.
Mariah Brown Mariah Brown 5'4" | PG Mission Hills | 2024 State CA | PG | Mission Hills
Solid point guard that takes care of the ball on the floor and is a great lead guard that makes the right decision for her team. She can shoot it from the midrange and get to the rim, but she is still working on her three pointer. She is very athletic and works really hard on the floor on both sides of the ball.
Gianna DeForest Gianna DeForest 6'0" | PF Tustin | 2024 State CA | PF | Crean Lutheran
Big body post player that is one of the most physical players on the floor, she is tough and rugged and not afraid to foul at player going to the rim. She pushes to get every rebound in the paint and she is also a decent shot blocker. She has great size and knows how to use what she has to get the position on the floor, she is a monster in the paint in our opinion.
Katie Dunakin Katie Dunakin 5'10" | SF Aliso Niguel | 2024 State CA | SF | Aliso Niguel
Big inside for her team, she can run the floor and catch and finish, but her primary role on this team is to rebound and get the ball to the guards for easy scores. She gets to spots on the floor to score, but she is still developing in that regard, but she is a willing defender and plays hard on each and every play. Attitude is present and she is gonna get the job done for her team in every game.
Aurora Elder Aurora Elder 5'9" | SF Riverside Poly | 2024 State CA | SF | Riverside Poly
Elder is a talented post who has a knack for setting good, hard screens. She does a good job to free up the ball-handlers. She’s a strong presence in the paint, she gets good position down low and she has a soft touch around the rim. She positions herself well for rebounds and she follows misses on the offensive glass. One thing she could improve on is making quicker decisions out of the post but she can actually see the floor well passing-wise from the high post.
Jakayla Gilmer Jakayla Gilmer 5'9" | SG Vanden | 2024 State CA | SG | Laguna Creek
Simply put, Gilmer can flat-out do it all. Gilmer is a confident scorer who can knock down the three-ball, shoot from mid-range, and finish around the rim. She’s explosive yet smooth on the court, making the game look easy. While her offensive arsenal is diverse, Gilmer is also unselfish and looks to get her teammates involved in the game. Her vision is solid and she doesn’t hesitate to pass up a good shot for a great one. On the defensive end, Gilmer is active, plays the passing lane well, and her speed and size allow for her to defend multiple positions. Gilmer is also a great rebounding guard with the length and athleticism to get in position and consistently grab boards on both ends of the floor.
Aryanna Hudson Aryanna Hudson 5'6" | SG Aliso Niguel | 2024 State CA | SG | Aliso Niguel
Bonafide scorer for her team, she can get to the rim, she can pull up off the dribble and she can knock down the three pointer. She runs the team well and her handles are sufficent enough to make it happen at the next level. She has a good basketball body and coaches need to take a look at her for their prospective teams. She makes sound decisions on the floor as a lead guard and she is aggressive on the defensive and offensive end of the floor.
Kimora Jackson Kimora Jackson 6'1" | SF Washington Prep | 2024 State CA | SF | Washington Prep
Big that can score in the paint if given the opportunity to do it, she can get to the rim and seal and finish. She has great size and is one of the bigger girls in the tournament, standing at about 6’1 or more. She rebounds well and gets the ball out to the guards to push the rock down the floor. She is also a willing shot blocker for her team.
Tiara Jones Tiara Jones 5'11" | SF Bishop Montgomery | 2024 State CA | SF | LACES
Jones was playing a little out of position as center in the first game I watched her, but she did a solid job. She has good size with a nice touch around the rim. She can make quick, decisive moves with the ball in her hands going to the rim. She’s a natural forward who can take advantage of being guarded by slower bigs. She constantly got out in transition, running the floor and catching teammates passes. Incoming sophomore who has some solid upside.
Alyssa Kubo Alyssa Kubo 5'7" | SG Esperanza | 2024 State CA | SG | Esperanza
Athletic forward type of player with the attacking attitude needed to play at the next level, she is very aggressive and makes really good decisions when on the floor. She has good size and she knows how to use it on the perimeter by outsmarting her opponent and finishing plays for her team.
