Emily Ambrose (Jr.) – 5-4 PG, Delsea
Ambrose led all scorers with 10 points in the championship game and has become a much more consistent scorer this season for the Crusaders. The junior is currently uncommitted, but should have many more eyes on her as she’s now a consistent player on the offensive end who can shoot from the perimeter and make plays happen driving into the lane.
Sydni Wright (Sr.) – 5-5 SG/SF, Highland
Wright has seemingly everything going right for her as a scorer and passer this season, though she struggled to create against a tough opponent in Delsea. We’re seeing her commit more to the glass and rebound better as well as step up in a big way on the defensive end, especially as a shot-blocker. Things have definitely hit a crescendo this season for her.
Tori Kanuck (Sr.) – 5-4, PG/SG, Delsea
Kanuck and Ambrose have created a solid guard duo for Delsea that rode them to the B Bracket championship. She had eight points in the championship game and is someone who disperses her scoring well from outside to inside. Delsea has ridden her success on the floor into a current 10-game winning streak as the regular season comes to a close.
Dacia Mack (So.) – PG, Highland
We’ve previously talked about Mack this season, but she once again came up in a big way to help Highland reach the bracket final. Her 18-point, 10-rebound double-double was massive against Gloucester Tech, including four three-pointers. Mack plays hard, plays smart and looks so confident with the ball on the floor. Highland has a budding star on their hands.
Brianna Gibson (Jr.) – G/F, Gloucester Tech
Gibson’s teammate, Grace Molinari, had herself a night in the team’s semifinal loss to Highland. However, the junior has shown great improvement this season and is now hitting shots from three consistently. Gibson knocked down two threes against the Tartans and looks more comfortable as a catch-and-shoot type player down the road.
Madison Eli (Fr.) – G/F, Deptford
What a freshman year this versatile playmaking sensation is having for Deptford. Eli had herself another great game in the semis against Delsea, her first career high school double-double. She’s been more of a factor offensively this season, but don’t overlook her defense as she’s averaging over five steals a game so far. Eli pushes the tempo well on offense and has a knack for getting to the rim. She plays best when the game speeds up, so keep an eye out on that as the regular season concludes.
Imani Dennis (Fr.) – 5-8 PG/SG, Delsea
Dennis had a strong semifinal performance against Deptford and has been a solid guard option for the Crusaders this season. Time is her best strength right now as she’s going to steadily improve her overall game, especially over the next year or so. Dennis finishes well at the rim, can shoot well from the perimeter, but has a few things to tweak with her defense and her midrange game. With her current productivity, she’s in a great spot moving forward.
