Ashland Region is an interesting region there are some top-seeded teams in this same bracket. Have some sleeper teams that can make a push to Dayton. This will be a region to watch for so many interesting things that can happen in this region.
Shelby is coming off back to back years as a 1 seed, with an undefeated season this team has had they are looking to make a statement early in their first-round games to get them back to the District championship where they are looking to avenge their 6 point loss to Bellevue last year and make it to Regionals to get to states, with the play of their seniors they aren’t looking to be denied, Haylee Baker, [player_tooltip player_id="159376" first="Olivia" last="Baker"], [player_tooltip player_id="32616" first="Sophia" last="Niese"] will continue their journey through the tournament.
Bellevue is a 2 seed and looking to make another run to the regional semifinals and get further than they did a year ago when they lost to Napolean. They are a solid team that plays team ball no matter if it’s on offense or defense that is no particular player that you have to look out for you have to watch out for whoever is on the court. Players to watch Ella Rucker, Hailey Rees, Dominique Weisz
Bellville Clear Fork coming in as a 3 seed, this team can get up and down the floor they play good team basketball, protecting the paint and around the perimeter. They can score in the paint, fast breaks, and from deep, with the size of their bigs they make it hard for anyone to score in the paint. They will look to make a run in their bracket with the help of Annika Labaki, Bekah Conrad, Pacey Chrastina.
Elyria Region
Rocky River looks to finish strong with one more game to go before sectionals, they are looking to get back where they were a year ago in the District Championship to where they lost to Bay Village, this year they are looking to put all the pieces together and make a run to regionals. If they can keep the pieces rolling they will be a team to make surprises happen. Players to keep an eye out are Sophia Murray, [player_tooltip player_id="280111" first="Ava" last="Patti"], Kelsey Murphy, Natalie Swallow
Copley has the tools to advance in each round of the tournament they play good team basketball. Even though their record doesn’t show how special this team is they should be able to make some surprise wins and advance each round. They have a good talented core of players from top to bottom with [player_tooltip player_id="360890" first="Victoria" last="McKnight"], [player_tooltip player_id="366829" first="Emily" last="Kerekes"], Libby Blanchard.
Shaker Heights Laurel when you think about them and the success they have had as a team past few years making the trip to Dayton a year ago. This is a different team they have short bench to where they play every single minute. They play hard as a team they will give you a fight for a full 32 minutes. When you hear Laurel you know of the player who can put her team in a position to win and put the team on her back with the help of others. As long as laurel plays within themselves they will be able to advance to the next round, key players [player_tooltip player_id="157686" first="Mari" last="Bickley"], [player_tooltip player_id="280082" first="Helen" last="Holley"].

Hawken Gates Mills active players with active hands, play good team defense and smother the player with the ball, they get a lot of team deflections. Move the ball well around the key to get the open shot They will use what they have been doing all season to be able to get past the first round and to continue deep in the tournament keep eye out on Makayla White, Maya Dori, Rosie Murray and others.
Columbus 1
Bishop Hartley is a very talented team from top to bottom, they are going to make a push in the tournament with the well coached team they have it shouldn’t be a problem or them to get bye. They are very skilled from the outside and solid on the defensive end. If all their players step up and play their roles they will be a tough team to beat, and they will keep moving on round by round, lead by their Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id="313102" first="Kiarra" last="McElrath"] and Junior [player_tooltip player_id="270504" first="Ellie" last="Brandewie"]
