The Farmington Scorpions will host the La Cueva Bears Tuesday, February 15th at 7:00 pm. The La Cueva Bears have a chance to clinch the 5A-District 2 Title with a win vs Farmington Tuesday night.
The La Cueva Bears come into this game the #4 ranked team in 5A according to MaxPreps. They are 18-4 this season and are undefeated at 8-0 in district play. They currently have the best record in 5A-District 2. The Farmington Scorpions are not far behind, they come into this game the #2 ranked team in 5A according to MaxPreps. They are 23-1 this season and own a 7-1 record in district play. The Farmington Scorpions have the 2nd best winning percentage in the state right behind undefeated Volcano Vista.
In the first district matchup between these two district rivals, it was the La Cueva Bears who defeated the Farmington Scorpions 51-49. This first matchup was played at La Cueva High School Saturday, January 29th.
