[player_tooltip player_id="31877" first="Patience" last="Laster"] | Franklin County
Laster makes some great moves and finishes so well around the basket. There are oftentimes 2-3 defenders hanging on her and she still finds a way to finish. She puts herself in great positions in the lane, posts up hard, and there simply are not many players that are strong enough to get around her. She rebounds hard and has great shot blocking skills also. In her senior season, Laster is nearly averaging a double-double for a team that has played one of the toughest schedules in the state this year.
[player_tooltip player_id="106150" first="Sereniti" last="Webb"] | Simon Kenton
Webb is averaging a double-double through 27 games and it’s truly because of the work she puts in when she’s on the court. She runs the floor so well on both ends. She creates a ton of steals for her team by constantly getting deflections. She moves her feet to get herself in good shot blocking positions. Offensively, she makes good moves and finishes so strong. As a forward, she is probably the best passer I have seen this year. She recognizes where the open player is and makes such good passes.
[player_tooltip player_id="157972" first="Kylie" last="Koeninger"] | Campbell County
Koeninger has had to miss most of her senior season due to a knee injury, but when she was playing, she made her presence known. She is a really good driver and slasher. She’s constantly moving and she doesn’t make it easy on a defense. She can weave through traffic really well as her ball handling skills are strong and she finishes well around the rim, but she can also knock down a 3 or pull-up jumper. Defensively, she is constantly reading passing lanes and coming up with steals.
[player_tooltip player_id="328943" first="Kennedy" last="Williams"] | Henry Clay
Williams doesn’t miss much from 15 feet in. She keeps the ball up high and it makes it hard for defenders to ever block her or take the ball from her. It also allows her to elevate over a defense to get her shot off and the form on her shot is great. Williams makes some really good post moves as well. When help defense steps over or she gets double-teamed, she makes some impressive passes to the open player.
[player_tooltip player_id="106158" first="Jade" last="Pevley"] | Garrard County
Pevley utilizes some strong post moves and finishes with contact. She has good size and strength, and crashes the boards hard. She’s really good at grabbing a rebound then making a strong outlet pass. Draws a lot of fouls and is a really good free throw shooter. Pevley also has good range on her outside shot which makes her a tough match-up for any post.
