With our final rankings for the class of 2022 now available, let’s take a look at the top wings in the 2022 Senior class. [player_tooltip player_id="31885" first="Amiya" last="Jenkins"] | Anderson County The favorite to win Miss Basketball, Jenkins is just a special talent. There really isn't a weakness to her game, at least not at the high school level. She is probably the best defender in the state because she uses her length, athleticism, and basketball IQ to constantly disrupt an opponent's offense and it's like she never stops from the start of the game to the final buzzer. Offensively, she's so smooth. Jenkins takes smart shots and doesn't try to just do it all on her own like most players with her talent probably would. She could score even more, but she just wants to put her team in a position to win. Through 25 games, Jenkins is averaging 19.8 points per game and is shooting 53.2% overall and 50% from deep. [player_tooltip player_id="157946" first="Riley" last="Neal"] | North Oldham A top 5 scorer in the state, Neal has consistently shown her skills all season long. She is an extremely versatile player and is great at creating shots. She uses her length really well on both ends of the floor. The Miami (Ohio) commit has had multiple double-doubles throughout this season and has been a near impossible match-up for just about every team she’s played. Despite how skilled she is, she isn’t a selfish player and loves getting her teammates involved. [player_tooltip player_id="106137" first="Lacey" last="Bradshaw"] | Notre Dame Bradshaw can get to the basket so easily and she’s so good at using her body to create good shots out of nothing. She really does a great job of recognizing when her teammates are open and makes strong passes that are hard to steal. Defensively, the Morehead State commit reads the passing lanes and comes up with a lot of steals. [player_tooltip player_id="106139" first="Tyra" last="Flowers"] | George Rogers Clark Flowers has great size and strength. The North Alabama commit is so good at reading the passing lanes and coming up with steals. She works so hard on the boards and even when she doesn't come up with the rebound, she plays a big role in her teammates being able to grab more rebounds because it usually takes more than 1 defender to keep her off the glass. She really draws a lot of contact down low and because she is oftentimes bigger and stronger than her defender, she doesn't get as many fouls as she probably should so she's forced to finish through the contact. Flowers is capable of notching a double-double in any given game. [player_tooltip player_id="106141" first="Emma" last="Egan"] | Bullitt East Egan is the ultimate teammate, doing all the things most players don’t want to do and bringing the energy to her teammates through her play. She is a fantastic defender and sprints the length of the floor to get back on defense, taking zero plays off. You would really have to work hard to out-hustle the La Salle commit. She puts herself in great rebounding positions and crashes the boards hard as well. While she can certainly score on the inside or outside, she does whatever her team needs her to do to help them win each game. [player_tooltip player_id="106136" first="Mia" last="Hale"] | Estill County Hale has super deep range and not just in the sense that she can make a 3 from deep every now and then, but she consistently knocks them down from 5+ feet behind the line. Scores at all 3 levels. She’s a strong finisher with both hands and she finishes really well with contact as well. Hale has some really great moves in her bag & she’s really good at drawing a lot of contact. Good passer, good defender - truly a complete, well-rounded, and skilled player. [player_tooltip player_id="210888" first="Allison" last="Wallace"] | Frederick Douglass Wallace is strong, versatile, and has great length. The West Alabama commit can really do it all off of the dribble - stop & pop, drive all the way, shoot a floater, or kick to an open teammate - and she does it all really well. Her ball handling skills are strong, especially for a wing. She’s got really good form on her shot. She makes good moves inside. She is determined to get any rebounder that comes near her. Defensively, she is just as solid.
