Her shots are consistent and makes that beautiful sound when the ball hits nothing but nylon! Massive offensive threat from anywhere- opponents have to know where she is at all times. Defensively, she anticipates passes well, and runs an uptempo game.
Ava Wilkerson- G, 2023, Marysville H.S.: (Below, shooting) Wilkinson’s defense is relentless. I’ve always told the teams I coach, if you can play defense, you’ll play for me! It doesn’t matter what the score is, Ava is going to give you every ounce of energy. Great quickness, sits low, active hands, and can pick pockets all day. Offensively, she’s got a trigger! Doesn’t matter the size of players in the paint, she will attack and find ways to put the ball in the bucket.
Ally Carr- G, 5’5, 2023, Newark H.S.: Carr does all the little things, which lead to points, easy buckets, and momentum for her team. She hits key shots at times when Newark needs a boost. She fights for rebounds- all heart! She’s fun to watch! (Below, shooting)
Jenna Shackleford Jenna Shackleford 6'0" | SF Newark | 2023 State OH – G, 6’0, Newark H.S.: Players make plays, and Shackleford has proven all season that she is tough to handle on both ends of the court. Defensively, she works hard for loose balls and tears down rebounds aggressively. Uses the glass well inside, strong footwork, and knows how to get to the charity stripe. She’s patient, and plays with poise. (Featured Photo)
Trinity Jackson- G, 5’9, 2023, Pickerington Central H.S.: (Below on defense, #5) Jackson’s quickness and decisions with the basketball are excellent! She knows how to push the tempo, and with her handles, she can weave through the defense and find ways to score. Her length, athleticism, and ability to attack well on transition gives her many advantages against opponents.
