With the postseason upon us and all of conference play having concluded in Southeast Missouri, it’s time to reveal the best of the best. Therefore, I have created the Prep Girls Hoops All-Southeast Missouri first, second and third teams. Each team will be composed of five players apiece from the SEMO and Scott-Miss Conference. Here's the PGH All-Southeast Missouri First Team: PGH Southeast Missouri Player of the Year – 2022 6’0" CG [player_tooltip player_id="162386" first="Alexa" last="Rubel"], Cape Notre Dame: Double-double waiting to happen as she scores at will while being one of the best glass cleaners in Missouri. Effortlessly gets to the rim thanks to her euro step, spin move and pass fake. Can catch fire from beyond the arc and is establishing a nice mid-range game. Next-level passer who distributes at ease and has an incredible baseball heave. Defensively, she reads passes incredibly well for interceptions and picks player's pockets while she's improved vastly as a rim protector. 2023 6’1" SF [player_tooltip player_id="193484" first="Tori" last="Rubel"], Cape Notre Dame: Overwhelming force attacking the rim with a clean finish and scores against double teams with ease. Threat pulling up off the dribble from mid and 3-point range with her smooth shooting stroke. Makes head-turning passes and pushes extremely well. Creates for herself and teammates. Disrupts play after play on defense due to her athleticism, instinct, length, wingspan and stride. Dominates the glass. 2022 6’1" SF [player_tooltip player_id="194139" first="Karris" last="Allen"], Sikeston: Explosive with great control and makes things happen. Seemingly effortless pull-up jumper as she's dangerous from 15 feet and in. Gets to the rim at will with her athleticism and moves like the euro step and spin. Cleans the glass with ease and is a natural rim protector thanks to her hops and awareness. Unselfish with the ball when she needs to be. 2022 5’9" CG [player_tooltip player_id="194140" first="Kendall" last="Holweg"], Delta: Plays with an extremely high motor on both ends. Innate ability to score from inside the arc thanks to her pull-up jumper and quick yet aggressive drives to the basket. Never lets up defensively who is always pressing ball handlers and swiping for the ball. Her hops also allows her to contest shot attempts versus taller players and always fight for rebounds. 2023 5’11" SF [player_tooltip player_id="317556" first="Haley" last="Webb"], Oran: One of the most diverse scorers in the area. Possesses a beautiful drive and finish around the rim. Catches fire from 3-point range. Coast-to-coast threat who fields an array of moves for easy scores. Aggressive yet smart defender with the awareness and length to always get her hands on the ball. Pushes the ball extremely well and secures rebounds at a high rate.
