SCISA: Class 3A – Signed and Sealed

Prep Girls Hoops will be bouncing around a few different ideas over the days to come from the SCISA State Class 3A State Tourney. Let’s look at the All Signed and Sealed Team for next year right here in this article. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124089" first="Ashlyn" last="Watkins"] - Cardinal Newman - University of South Carolina </strong> Watkins is ranked the #1 player in the 2022 Palmetto State Rank for a reason. Ashlyn was extremely impressive with her play in the opening round vs Hilton Head Prep. Watkins a rim protector was able to claim several rebounds on both ends of the floor in the opening round victory. Ashlyn has great skills and in particular guard skills to handle the rock up the floor. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-392094" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/02/96BE3753-4EAE-499E-A145-C4BF5AA197D7-crop-1048x689-1645672610-300x197.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124096" first="Tyra" last="Myers"] - Hammond - St Francis College - Brooklyn (NY) </strong> Myers is an extremely efficient scorer from anywhere on the floor. Tyra has a great feel for the game along with tremendous shot selection. She does a good job of getting her teammates involved in the offense and makes plays for them on both ends of the floor. Tyra and the Lady Skyhawks lost a tough one in the opener vs First Baptist. Myers who finished her high school career today as a very bright future in the Big Apple. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-392086" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/02/E2707360-8B94-40F6-BC5D-CA280749D2B0.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171771" first="Tiana" last="Spann"] - First Baptist - Winthrop University </strong> Spann really went to town down in the paint with her ability to finish her left shoulder. Tiana will carve out space and likes to play the game on contact very well. Spann has a great set of hands and catches anything thrown her way. Tiana finished with 24 points and 14 rebounds in an opening round win over Hammond. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-392375" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/02/76E3C4DE-0BF4-484D-ABF2-57C2299E5936.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158920" first="Alexia" last="Grant"] - First Baptist - Appalachian State University </strong> Grant will play in the Sun Belt Conference next season the Lady Mountaineers. Alexia had 10 points and 5 assists today according to my unofficial stats. Mia a guard isn't flashy with her play but was able to deliver some big passes today and while connecting on some shots. She finished with 13 points in the opening round win over Hammond. The trio of Spann, Grant and Wysong have one more game for sure on Friday and possibly Saturday to finish their careers out. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-392089" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/02/A6EF03C5-1F6B-46F1-8ABE-1CF24BADC398.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="363510" first="Jessica" last="Dowdy"] - Augusta Christian (GA) - Flagler College (FL) (NCAA D2) </strong> Jessica played just one season for the Lady Lions after transferring in from nearby Evans HS. Dowdy a left-handed combo guard will head off to the Sunshine State and play next season. Jessica likes to play out on the perimeter and seems to be best suited as more of a shooting guard. Jessica finished with 12 points in her last game in a Lions uniform. All of these players will be playing college ball next year and we will for sure wishing them the best of luck in their ca &nbsp;
